Here we are again with a look at the best and worst of the offers that are being presented to Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers with the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale. Which should you be picking up between the 21st – 27th June 2016…and which should you be leaving well alone? Well, there’s a decent number of games that get us excited!

The following should be on your hit list.

Grab – LA Cops – 75% off – £2.70 – Xbox One

When a city is being overrun by crime, there is only one thing to do. Grab your partner and get to work! LA Cops lets you do just that and for less than the price of a beer, should be snapped up.

Set in the 1970’s, with a team of LA’s finest cops ready to clear up the lowlife scum, LA Cops will bring you plenty of joy. We’d love to have seen some form of co-operative mode in place – in fact, the game is crying out for an online offering – but as a single player title that brings a fair amount of humour and tactical edge, it delivers. If you need convincing, our review is right here, but the price really does make it a worthwhile purchase.

Grab – Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark – 75% off – £1.80 – Xbox One

If you’re in need of a clever puzzler that twists from up from the norm then Team17 have delivered with Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark. A little over a year old, it is still more than worth your while in grabbing a controller and messing around in a world full of cats, quarks and stunning puzzles.

We’d have liked to see some gameplay mechanics that are a little more solid, but when you look at the price you can pick it up for this week, it’s a bit of a no-brainer.

£1.80? What else can you buy for £1.80? Not much!

Grab – Worms 2: Armaggedon – 75% off – £0.84 – Xbox 360

We can’t promise cutting edge visuals and we can’t promise completely original gameplay, but for less than a quid, Worms 2: Armageddon should be picked up rather swiftly.

It’s got a ton of weapons, new game modes and all the usual humour that you would expect of a Worms title. If you can manage to persuade a few friends to part with the measly 84p as well, then you’ve got yourself a rather solid little online multiplayer title for party fun.

Tempter – This War of Mine: The Little Ones – 50% off – £12.00 – Xbox One

Now, we’d have preferred to see the price of This War of Mine: The Little Ones come down a little more, but with a 50% price cut, it certainly throws it into the tempter ballpark.

A fairly recent game that we reviewed only a few short months ago (a 4.5/5 rating seems to point at something rather special), This War Of Mine looks at war with a new refreshing angle, comes complete with some amazing artwork and brings an atmosphere that just has to be checked out to be believed. It’s also not a short game and will keep you busy for a fair old while and that in itself ensures the £12 tag is quite possibly worth considering.

Leave – Homefront: The Revolution ‘Freedom Fighter’ Bundle – 40% off – £41.99 – Xbox One

Homefront: The Revolution arrived after one of the worst beta performances we’ve ever seen. The full game didn’t quite stack up well enough either.

With dodgy visuals, massive glitches and a rather boring storyline, near on everything about The Revolution comes across as something that was rushed, unloved and desperate for a longer development circle. Whilst we have to admit to enjoying the multiplayer, the 40% off doesn’t represent anything near decent value for money and should be the one title that you really need to keep well away from this week.

…and stay away until it’s around a tenner in price.

As always, if you like the look of the stuff above and decide to grab something, we’d love it if you could tell us what you pick up in the comments below. You may fancy saving even more cash as well, and heading on over to CDKeys and picking up some cheap Xbox Live credit first should be pretty high on your agenda.
