Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 3rd October 2017

-

That time of the year has finally hit. You know the one; the time in which multiple new games all arrive in the space of a few weeks, all of which look to grab your free time, and turn it into hours of adventuring and mastering of some of the most anticipated titles of the year.

But with new games usually comes a hefty price tag, and that is why we look forward to the weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale, if only because it looks to offer us the equivalent experience for only a fraction of the price. In fact, you’d be mad to look elsewhere before taking a peek inside the Xbox Live Deals With Gold each week.

So in typical fashion, here are our thoughts on which of the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale bargains for 3rd-9th October 2017 you should keep an eye out for.

GrabDemon’s Crystals – 67% off – £1.32

If you’re a fan of twin stick shooting, general bullet hell madness or just want some fun in the form of an action arcade adventure, then Demon’s Crystals is certainly a game you won’t want to pass up.

With a story that sees you guide Urican Demons through countless hazards to restore peace to the world, there is certainly something different about this gem of a game. Coming in at well under two pounds, this is one of the biggest bargains we’ve seen for some time, and whilst it may not be the most popular game on the market, you’ll be thanking us after spending some time with this frenetic shooter.

GrabTower of Guns – 75% off – £3.00

Floor by floor, level by level, this is another cracking indie that’s perfect for all you bullet hell fanatics out there. Randomised levels and enemies are the draw, and with enough power-ups, unlockable items and weapons in place, there is certainly every chance you could find yourself sinking the many bosses quicker than the Titanic… provided you have the raw skill to do so.

Nevertheless, Tower of Guns is an incredibly addictive FPS title that brings leaderboards, boss battles and shotgun modifiers to the forefront of the experience, something no-one wants to miss out on right? And at three pounds, you won’t have to!

GrabValiant Hearts – 70% off – £3.60

Whilst the last two entries may have allowed you to go gun toting happily without much in the way of consequence, Valiant Hearts is a much different story; one that brings emotion, build up and that general kick in the feels as you progress through the interconnected story of a family torn apart by war, and the broken love that it causes.

Sound heavy? That;s because it is, and it’s a truly fabulous game because of it. It may cost you a little more than that Costa coffee on the way to work, but it’ll certainly stay with you a lot longer.

GrabMad Max – 75% off – £7.50

It may not be the cheapest of deals this week but it’s definitely a great one to get involved in.

The open-world adventures of Mad Max brought amazement to many players when it arrived back in 2015, and in this apocalyptic wasteland adventure, your car is the key to survival. With a protagonist that wants nothing more than peace in the “Plains of Silence” it’s hard to believe that this action filled masterpiece could be quite so explosive, but it is, and it’s incredible.

From the impressive story to the fluid combat, the explosive car battles and the visual beauty of the dusty wastes, Mad Max is one game everyone should have in their gaming collection, and for such a low price there’s no reason not to.

LeaveAgents of Mayhem – 25% off – £37.49

I know, I know, Agents of Mayhem is great, but there had to be one game that we told you to save that hard-earned cash on this week. And given that the Agents of Mayhem come in more expensive than all our other recommendations combined, it’s hardly bargain of the week territory.

That said Agents of Mayhem is indeed a fantastic game and should you be looking to treat yourself then there’s no reason not to add the latest title from the minds behind the Saints Row series to your collection, especially when that latest title brings a variety of Super Agents into play against a shadowy super-villain organization that looks to take over the world.

But at more than £35, Agents of Mayhem isn’t quite at a wallet friendly price just yet.

So, there we have it, another week of fantastic deals and our recommendations on which one’s you should be keeping an eye out for. Make sure you let us know your thoughts in the comments below or via our usual social channels.

Don’t forget, should you like the look of any of the above discounts, and fancy splashing a little cash in order to get yourself a new game, then make sure you visit CDKeys before hitting the purchase button, and pick up some of their cheap Xbox Live credit to ensure your money goes just that little bit further.
