The Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for the 6th-12th September 2016 is now in place and looks to give both Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers the chance to pick up numerous titles at low, low prices. But which of the numerous titles on offer should you be downloading as quick as you can, and which should you be leaving well alone? We take a look at the best and the worst.
Although if we’re honest, it’s a week in which we struggle to find the really deep bargains, but are also glad to see little in the way of ‘offensive’ prices. That is never more true than when you take into account the Xbox One discounts this week as they struggle to enthuse. That said, we reckon the following should be checked out – and for the first week in a while, there is nothing that you should be really keeping away from.
Don’t forget, you should also be taking a visit to CDKeys and grabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit before you even bother attempting to purchase any of this weeks deals. Every little penny you can save will count!
Grab – Dark Souls and Dark Souls II – Both 75% off – £3.74
Whilst Xbox One owners will have to make do with the big hitting Dark Souls III if they are in need of a fix, Xbox 360 gamers can grab either the original Dark Souls, or its sequel for just £3.74.
For two titles that bring so much content, both the 75% discount, and the bargain prices that discount bring, should really see you flocking to the franchise once more.
Grab – Pac-Man – £50% off – £1.69
With the Championship Edition 2 just around the corner (releasing in a matter of weeks in fact), there has never been a better time to re-acquaintant yourself with good old Pac. Granted, you could well be downloading the CE Edition, but at twice the price of this – albeit still at a very reasonable one – you should be able to sort yourself out with the standard game, especially now that it works on Xbox One too.
I mean, what else can you buy for just £1.69? Not a lot is the answer. Especially in the videogames world.
Tempter – Assassin’s Creed Triple Pack: Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate – 60% off – £30.00
Now normally I’d be urging you to go and get a triple pack of Triple A titles for just £30.00, but truth be told the Assassin’s Creed bundle is probably a bit over-priced. In fact, if you are an Xbox Live Gold member, then chances are you would have previously picked up Black Flag for nothing, whilst Unity can be grabbed from numerous places for just a few quid. That leaves Syndicate to prop up the discounted bundle and seeing as it is available for £18 by itself, that is where the smart money should go.
Unless of course you don’t own Black Flag, can’t be bothered to haggle on the Unity price, and just need a bit of Assassin’s Creed action to keep you going. In which case, it’s just about worth a purchase. At least you’ll find yourself engrossed in the AC world for many many weeks if you do decide to get involved.
