Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 7th March 2017

-

It’s hard to believe we’re already a quarter of the way through the year, but the swift movement of calendar dates should be the last thing to focus on this month, as March looks set to bring a ton of the year’s most anticipated titles onto our home consoles. With things not looking to slow down any time soon either, you’d be forgiven for letting the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale slip your mind.

But as each week passes, new deals arrive, so here’s our list of the week’s best and worst offers – those running between the 7th-13th March 2017 – to ensure you have something cheap and cheerful to go along with those big releases you’ve waited so long for.

GrabGuns, Gore and Cannoli – 50% off – £4.00

Think you could handle the life of an Italian mobster? Think you could survive a zombie outbreak? Like the taste of Cannoli? Head on over to Thugtown in the gangster roaring ’20s to deliver a message for the mob bosses.

Yes that’s right, it’s time to jump into the shoes of Vinnie Cannoli, and take on the fast paced, non-stop, run and gun action that made Guns, Gore and Cannoli one of the most underrated, under-the-radar platform titles on Xbox One.

With a sequel coming later this year, you’ll be glad you took the trip, because this…this is some good Cannoli!

GrabThe Bug Butcher 33% off – £5.35

One man, with one mission…to save a lot of other men, scientists in fact, from an evil threat that could destroy the research facility they have spent their lives working in. Aliens.

As the Bug Butcher, you head in as a bug exterminator ready to cleanse the new world facility from the invading species, with a wide array of alien disposal tools – aka lots of weapons – at the ready and a hero’s heart powering you along.

With gameplay heavily reminiscent of the Pang series of games, The Bug Butcher may well be another of the best platformers we are likely to ever see on Xbox One. With plenty of content to keep players coming back, a full leaderboard system to challenge your friends and some fantastic challenges to best you’ll be kicking yourself for not jumping in already.

For just £5.35, it’s one of the bargains of the year so far.

Grab MegaMan Legacy Collection – 60% off – £4.80

We love a good deal here at TheXboxHub, but when that deal includes a game that throws together a collection of old school classics into one experience how can we say no?

MegaMan Legacy Collection does just that, with a fantastic.. well.. legacy of all the original MegaMan titles in one place. The original platformer has aged well over the years and with some great gameplay coming from the early titles, why not head back to the collection to give them all the once over one more time. The price is more than tempting.

TempterThe Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: The Complete Collection – 50% off – £17.50

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hardly needs an introduction, after all with many Game of The Year awards to its name and enough hours of gameplay to leave us with grey hairs come the end, you’d be lucky to have enough time left to play anything else this console generation.

But when that same title comes complete with all its wondrous DLC expansions, it makes for the ultimate gaming experience and whilst it isn’t the cheapest deal this week, it’s certainly not a bad one. Any fan of all things mythical, beautiful, RPG-styled and downright amazing should jump into the experience no questions asked.

Leave – EA Sports Fifa 17, UFC 2 and Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare 2 – Various prices

Those who frequent our weekly sales advice should know that I wouldn’t put any of the above titles in a leave section any other time. But whilst the EA Publisher Sale certainly shows some good prices, anyone looking to really get in on the best action from EA should be looking to invest in a year long subscription to the EA Access pass. The EA Access Vault already contains the full game experience of all of the above mentioned EA titles, as well as classics such as Star Wars Battlefront, Need For Speed and indie sensation Unravel, so anyone looking for a true deal should be subscribing to that to make good use of all the best deals from the publisher sale, but at a much greater wallet friendly price.

So, there we have it, this week’s top deals and surprisingly whilst we may not have included all the Deals With Gold (which can be found here), it seems almost every deal this week presents a good value for money option to at least warrant a buy with that hard earned cash. So, head on over to CDkeys.com in order to stock up on that super cheap Xbox Live Credit and put it towards this week’s fabulous deals before running, cash in hand to the Xbox Games Store.

Don’t forget to let us know what you pick up either. We’d love to hear from you.
