GrabMiddle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor – Game of the Year Edition – 80% off – £4.80

Woah bargain alert!

It’s not very often we find things in the gaming world, even remotely tied to anything film related, that’s any good. But Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is one of the few exceptions… and this deal brings you every piece of DLC content for an exceptionally low price too.

The game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and thrusts players into the shoes of Talion, a ranger who was killed by the Black Hand of Sauron. The wraith of the Elf Lord Celebrimbor bonds with Tailon’s body, and together they set out to avenge the deaths of their loved ones.

Whether a tale of revenge is something you fancy or not, one thing is for certain, £4.80 is a definite bargain for this open-world adventure and is one to jump at if you’ve yet to experience the delights of the Shadow of Mordor. It didn’t win numerous Game of the Year awards for nothing you know!

GrabThe Bug Butcher – 50% off – £4.00

When there’s bugs in space, and you’re feeling scared.. who you gunna call? The Bug Butcher.

Inspired by the arcade classic Super Pang, The Bug Butcher sends players off to a planet in need, to save the last remaining scientists of a research facility overrun with alien bugs. This brilliant 2-D side scroller brings peril from above, but with your tools at the ready it’s time to get cleansing.

If you’ve yet to join the ranks of alien pest control, what are you waiting for? Four pounds is all it will take to jet into space on a fast-paced bug ridden adventure. Someone grab a mop!

Tempter – Instant Indie Collection: Vol. 5 – 33% off – £14.73

Do you love a good indie adventure with a small price tag? How about three rather amazing ones for less than a fiver each? Yeah, we like the sound of that too, and the Instant Indie Collection: Vol. 5 has just that for £14.73.

This collection brings together the delights of indie hits Manual Samuel, The Little Acre, and Human Fall Flat all for one wallet friendly price. Whether you’re after something to fill the gap till that next big release, or something a little different from the triple-A adventures on the market, this little lot is certainly something that won’t disappoint and is definitely one to consider.

Just remember – less than £5 for each game. Has that sold it to you yet?

LeaveBattlefield 1 Shortcut Kit: Ultimate Bundle – 50% off – £16.00

The Vehicle Shortcut and the Infantry Shortcut all for a rather sizeable deduction they said… all of which can be unlocked through in-game progression for no extra cost and minimal effort, I replied.

Shortcut kits. The one true confusion I get with every Battlefield release. Whilst the Shortcut kits in this bundle entitle players to every unlock for all the vehicles and infantry classes straight away, it must be said that this is certainly one way of ensuring you cut away a vast majority of the natural progression you will get to enjoy with the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Whilst £16 is certainly a far sight prettier than the usual £31.99, anyone who enjoys the feeling of progression from the multiplayer side of Battlefield 1 will certainly want to steer clear of this one. With nothing weapons and vehicle related left to earn besides extra DLC additions, this is only something that should be considered if you truly have a very, very, small amount of time to devote to Battlefield.

And even then, you’re still better off taking a wide berth of this one and just playing the game as it was intended.
