There have been enough new releases these last few weeks to keep players occupied for a good old while. If you count backwards compatibility arrivals then we may just be spoilt for choice, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t keen to see what new deals will be arriving with the weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale bargains.
Today brings a fresh new batch to choose from, but which discounts available between the 25th April and 1st May 2017 should you be looking to splash the cash on this week…and which should you be ignoring?
Grab – White Night – 67% off – £4.62
White Night is a title I remember seeing before release and thinking ‘I must own that’. When it finally arrived it delivered on pretty much what I expected too.
The game is set in the black and white surroundings of the 1930’s, sending the player into a haunted old mansion full of puzzles and threats to overcome amongst the shadows as you try to survive the night through the thrilling survival horror in which darkness is a constant threat.
As a full price product, I loved it, and now, with 67% off, it’s a bit of a bargain. That’s not to say it’ll be for all, but on a personal level, if you’re after a slow paced thriller, hit it up.
Grab – The Legend of Korra – 67% off – £3.96
Take on the infamous villains of two seasons of the hit show The Legend of Korra, as you take control of the series’ heroine in the third-person action title from PlatinumGames. By bending the elements of earth, water, fire and air, Korra will need to take down the many enemies that stand in her path as you look to take down the evil Hundun once and for all.
Whilst it may only take an evening or two to master the entire game, the price is just shy of four pounds and that makes it one to grab while the offer lasts.
Leave – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 – 67% off – £9.90
Tony Hawk has been a revered skater for as long as I remember. Back in the days of the original Xbox I found myself addicted to such entries as Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland and the various other titles so much so that even homework took a back seat for a while.
Since that point though the series has gone downhill, and with Skate proving to be a major success on Xbox, the limelight was taken away from the Tony Hawk games. Whilst Skate may not yet have made an appearance on Xbox One – without counting the backwards compatible entries – you’d be better off waiting for a new title to take the stage by storm rather than dipping into your wallet for the ultimate disappointment provided by Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
So, there we have it – it’s not the greatest week ever but there are a couple of games which are just about worth picking up. Do you agree with our choices this week? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels, and don’t forget to head on over to CDkeys if you fancy diving into any of this week’s offers for some super cheap Xbox Live credit to help those funds go that little further.
