Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale bargains should you pick up? – 2nd May 2017

-

If you’re one of those who have found themselves reaching into their pockets for every exciting title to grace the Xbox One this year, then you may will feel unwilling to be shelling out any more of that hard-earned cash just yet.

But with each week bringing new deals to the Xbox faithful, it can be tough to avoid those bargains…so here’s our list of recommendations from the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale for 2nd-8th May 2017, letting you know what you should be looking to pick up, and avoid, this week.

GrabForza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition – 75% off – £6.00

You don’t have to spend too long browsing the Xbox store if it’s a quality racing title that you’re after. But even with such a large variety available the huge price tags can often seem a stumbling block.

That’s why you know you’re in for a treat when the Game of the Year Edition of Xbox One’s first flagship title hits the weekly deals, all with a price of just six quid.

With hundreds of hours of content (believe me, it really is hundreds) and countless speed machines all ready to rip the various real-life tracks to shreds, Forza Motorsport 5 is a must own title for any racing fan. Although there are several newer titles that have arrived on Xbox One since 2013, Forza Motorsport 5 still has everything required to keep you invested for some time yet.

GrabAQUA KITTY UDX: Xbox One Ultra Edition – 33% off – £4.28

You are a kitty in crisis. A sudden shortage of milk is causing cats around the world to look at unnatural means to find a fix. Can you stop this epidemic and take your team of brave milk mining kittens to the depths of the harsh seas, all in order to start the extracting the last known vats of naturally forming full fat milk stored below the seabed?

Or will the fear of water be too much for you to handle?

Battle disruptive mechanical enemies and save the many imprisoned kitties as you look to become the true hero in this epic adventure of feline domination. And what an adventure it is too – as our full review shows.

Grab – Eventide: Slavic Fable – 30% off – £5.59

Artifex Mundi. What do you mean you’re not sold yet?

Well if you’re one of those tough cookies then let the idea of Slavic mythology sink in for a second. This great title sets you in a contemporary heritage park where mythical Slavic creatures co-exist with humans. You take on the role of a famous botanist, on a mission to save an endangered plant…but that is the least of your worries.

Eventide: Slavic Fable mixes the usual Artifex Mundi magic into a fantastic story and for less than six quid it could be another fantastic addition to your gaming collection. If you don’t believe me, hit up our review.

LeavePrototype 2 – 50% – £15.00

The Prototype series may well offer an open-world of shape-shifting action, but seeing it arrive on Xbox One wasn’t something even the die-hard fans asked for. Especially when it comes with nothing new to speak of other than a heavily inflated price.

50% off may sound good to some, but as someone who experienced it first time round it isn’t going to be enough to see it gain a recommendation, especially when you could just boot up that Xbox 360 once more if you really felt like giving it a go.

It’s not the worst game you’ll ever play, but it certainly isn’t the best way to spend your money this week, and If you’re one of the few who didn’t get around to giving it a go first time, we recommend you wait till a much more sensible asking price accompanies Prototype 2.

So, there we have it, another week of deals and our finest recommendations on what you should and shouldn’t be looking to add to your collection. Do you agree with our choices? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels. If you find yourself tempted by any of this week’s deals, don’t forget to head on over to CDkeys to grab some super cheap Xbox Live credit to help stretch
that spending a little further.

If you’re after the full list of discounted titles, then well, we’ve got that covered too.

I’m going to ignore your recommendations this time (already got 3 out of 4 of them anyway) and go for Zenith after reading the review of it on this site. I’m just in the mood for an ARPG and the fact that this one is played for laughs only makes me want to give it a go even more.
