Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale bargains should you pick up? – 30th May 2017

-

After yet another busy week of new arrivals on the Xbox Store, we’ve once more arrived at the weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale. But with a number of exciting new titles set to hit the store in the coming days, which of this week’s offerings is worth splashing the cash on?

As always, we’re here to guide you in the right direction, so here’s our recommendations on what’s worth your money – and what’s not – from the list of discounted titles included in the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale for 30th May – 5th June 2017.

GrabCoffin Dodgers £3.84

Okay, so it may not be some great racing sensation that’s being offered up here, but for just under 4 quid this is certainly one that’s well worth taking a look at.

In Coffin Dodgers you take on the role of an elder, and prepare to race for your life against death by putting forward your best racing skills, utilising those pesky power-ups, and pimping out that mobility scooter with some fancy upgrades.

There isn’t exactly a ton of content on offer, but there is certainly enough to keep you entertained for an afternoon of pimped out coffin dodging.

GrabBorderlands: The Handsome Collection £14.85

It may be priced slightly higher than most of our weekly recommendations but there’s no denying that this one is indeed a bargain worth grabbing.

The Borderlands titles have long been a popular hit amongst gamers, with hours of content, millions of guns and enough action to keep you shooting away for days on end. But when you can get two of those great adventures for such a small price, both remastered and looking their finest, you know it’s a deal you need to be grabbing.

The Handsome Collection includes both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and is a must own for any Xbox One owner.

Grab Alien: Isolation£12.00

It’s another one hitting the double digits this time, but when such quality offerings get such great deals you can’t blame us for chucking them in there.

Alien: Isolation is a well-known scarefest amongst horror fans, with an A.I. that’s different every time, one of the best environments seen in a horror game, and a fantastic story that rekindles the magic of the big screen showing, this is one title that anyone who overlooked it first-time round should be jumping into immediately.

Of course, if you’ve already worked your way past the deadly Alien encounter, then maybe you should take a peek over at the Season Pass which is also on sale this week, as that brings some of the finest DLC content on the market to expand this frightening experience.

LeaveMordheim: City of the Damned£12.00

I’ve always been a big fan of strategy games, but when a game comes along that requires you have an inside working knowledge of an entire series to ensure you understand what’s going on, then enjoying the game can become a challenge.

Unfortunately, this is the case for Mordheim: City of the Damned.

That said, if you’re a big fan of Warhammer then this is likely to be something you should be all over, but even then, the price tag is quite possibly enough to turn away those unwilling to sit through repetitive gameplay.

So that rounds up another week of do’s and don’ts for the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale for 30th May – 5th June 2017. Do you agree with our choices?
