Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 1st Dec 2015

Whilst we would have expected the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 deals to have been kept for the Black Friday sales, this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is still pretty damn neat. There are a number of titles on sale and although Xbox One owners get the best offers this time round, 360 gamers should still want to check a couple of things out.

That said, yet again, there is at least one discount in place that is completely out of place. Let’s take a look at the best and worst of the offers available in the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 1st-7th Dec 2015.

Grab – Flockers – 75% off – £5.00

We make no bones about it. We love Flockers and anything which gives us 75% off the initial price is more than tempting. Team17 have seemingly ditched both the Lemmings which Flockers is quite clearly based on, and the Worms which brought about the whole idea, all in favour of giving us the chance to save a few fluffy ones over a ton of levels.

It all works pretty well too, and even though the control scheme isn’t completely perfect, the fiver that it is currently priced at is a good one. As are the crazy contraptions which are present in game!

Grab – Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark – 67% off – £2.39

Another Team17 title discounted and unsurprisingly, another that you should be taking a look at.

Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark is full of cracking puzzles and some lovable Quarks. The camera system may be slightly off at times, and the platforming mechanics that hold it all together could do with being a bit tighter, but 67% off and a £2.39 price point more than makes up for those slight issues.

Team17 don’t really do bad games, and Schrödinger’s Cat hits the mark just enough to be worthy of a purchase.

Grab – Darksiders – 90% off – £1.49 – Xbox 360

Darksiders may be many years old, and the sequel may well be getting a bit more attention due to the fact it’s just released on Xbox One with a Deathinitive Edition, but in our eyes, the original is the better of the two games, especially when it’s just a quid or so in price.

Playing the part of War, you’ll get to explore numerous avenues, battle a number of foes and destroy them with your unstoppable Chaos Form. It may have aged a little, but if you haven’t already played it, then we’d advise you fire up the old 360 and get playing.

Grab – Amy – 70% off – £1.01 – Xbox 360

Little needs to be said about a game that costs £1. So we won’t except for pointing you in the right direction. Any game that costs a single penny over a pound should be purchased pronto…that includes Amy on Xbox 360.

Leave – MX vs. ATV Supercross – 50% off – £12.49 – Xbox 360

Whilst MX vs ATV Reflex is on sale at a decently cheap price (£3.99), the cost of Supercross should mean you won’t be going anywhere near it, especially seeing as it’s a bit trash too.

Filled with tedious racing, utterly dire visuals and no desire to get anything right, MX vs ATV Supercross could just about be worth a punt at the Reflex price, but at more than three times that? Not a chance in hell. Our review sums up how rubbish the game is. It’s worth a read if only to save you some money. And heartache.

You can check out the full deals listing right here. We wholeheartedly advise you to jump over to CDKeys in order to grab an even bigger discount too. Their Xbox Live credit is super cheap!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
