Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 21st March 2017

-

So, after a few weeks of quiet on the Xbox Games Store it seems that things are picking up once more, releases are coming thick and fast and with E3 now so close, we may have seen the last of anything remotely quiet for some time. Keeping up with everything isn’t an easy task though, and each week we see the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale bringing us new deals to help keep our gaming library stocked up.

But which of this week’s bargains are worth looking into, and which are worth completely ignoring? We take a look.

Grab Coffin Dodgers – 50% off – £4.80

Just because certain games may not be backed by massive budgets it doesn’t mean there’s no fun to be had with them, and Coffin Dodgers is no different. So, grab your mobility scooter, pimp your ride and start the run from death and his zombie army, as you look to save your soul and dodge the inevitable trip to the coffin – for now at least.

Coffin Dodgers sees you venture through the local community of ageing folk in a race for life with pickups, upgrades and shortcuts all available to ensure you have a fighting chance against the invasive Death himself. Whilst there may well be a number of decent kart titles out there already, Coffin Dodgers is certainly one that’s worth a playthrough, even if it’s just the once.

For just under a fiver you can ensure you’ll have something entertaining for those rainy days in front of the telly.

GrabSlender: The Arrival – 60% off – £3.20

I’m quite a big fan of horror, but when Slenderman came to console I wasn’t sure if the creepy pasta phenomenon would have what it took to deliver the scares. Boy was I wrong.

With the classic 8 pages levels that Slenderman is all too well known for, as well as several other equally frightening locations on show, even the most battle hardened horror fanatics will be left with a scare or two when hiding from the invasive and faceless Slenderman .

Three quid for Slender: The Arrival is nothing and this could well be the bargain of the week.

TempterInfinite Air with Mark McMorris – 50% off £15.00

Steep may be available, offering many fantastic opportunities to drop from incredible heights in a vast open world, but it wasn’t the first to do so.

Infinite Air with Mark McMorris was available before and whilst many were whisked up by the hype for Steep and overlooked this snowboardng adventure, those that jumped in certainly didn’t come away with the worst of feelings. That said Infinite Air with Mark McMorris isn’t for casual players and with a very stern focus on physics and realism, anyone looking for a casual ride may well find themselves wanting to look elsewhere.

But if you’re one of those looking to get into the nitty gritty of what makes a great pro-snowboarder then this is something to check out.

LeaveMordheim: City of the Damned – 60% off – £12.00

It’s a bit of a tough one this one. I’m well aware that the Warhammer series has its own cult following, and I’m well aware that there are several great games from that universe available, but when a game comes along offering top down, turn based combat at a snail’s pace, all whilst throwing so much information at you that you can barely see your playing field, then you know something has got to be changed.

Mordheim: City of the Damned has plenty of things to offer those who have already invested hundreds of hours into the Warhammer universe, but those without inside knowledge into the working of everything Warhammer will struggle to even know what’s happening half the time, making this a game that can only really be enjoyed by series veterans rather than fans of some casual turn based RPG action.

So, there we have it, the best and worst of this week’s Deals With Gold bargains. Do you agree with our choices?
