The Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is here and finally both Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers can grab the latest discounts.
But which of the few discounts available on both formats should you be snapping up? And which should you be leaving well alone? We take a look at best and worst of the deals in place for 27th Sept – 3rd Oct 2016.
Grab – This War of Mine – 59% off – £9.60
This War of Mine arrived on Xbox One to huge acclaim. It was however rather highly priced for a digital game which, if we’re honest, is only ever going to appeal to a certain section of the gaming community.
But now, with a 59% discount and £9.60 price tag, This War of Mine is a must buy. If you’ve been sitting on the fence, unsure whether you’ll enjoy the gritty war based experience, then forget about any worries and head off to the Xbox One Games Store immediately.
The controls may be slightly clunky but the atmospheric world, amazing artwork and hugely addictive nature means This War Of Mine should be yours asap!
Grab – Axel & Pixel – 80% off – £1.35
The Xbox 360 offerings took a little while to get going this week, with a delay raising hopes that we’d be seeing a whole ton of discounts on some great Xbox 360 games. But we didn’t get it, and instead have been left with just a few 360 titles to get involved in.
The standout discount of the week though must be the £1.35 price tag which is required to download Axel & Pixel. 80% off shouldn’t be ignored and whilst you’re not going to find the greatest gameplay experience ever, it’s currently at a price that ensures the game will bring you a little joy.
Leave – GTA V & Megalodon Cash Card – 50% off – £59.87
Oh look, GTA V is on sale. AGAIN!
If I’m being honest, I’m a little fed up with how such a great game is still being touted, as a sale bargain, without much of a discounted price to match. I mean seriously, anyone who is anyone should already have played GTA V and so the huge amount of cash required for either the base game, or the multiple versions which also drag in some cash cards as well is never going to tempt any fence sitters.
Granted, if you’ve never played the game before, then you should be snapping it up. But I’d be telling you to do that whether it was in a sale or not. If you want to put GTA V in a sale – discount it massively just the once! Please.
Don’t forget, you should also be taking a visit to CDKeys and grabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit before you even bother attempting to purchase any of this weeks deals. It’s what the smart kids do!
