This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is now live and brings a few helpful bargains to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. But which of the discounts in place should you be snapping up, and which should you be leaving to one side?
If truth be told, we’re struggling.
This week’s offers aren’t exactly the best we’ve ever seen with no complete and utter ‘must haves’anywhere in sight. However, the following should just about be worthy of your cash…or at least help you save your money until another day.
Grab – Sunset Overdrive – £26.79 – 33% off – Xbox One
33% off doesn’t normally get you a place on the Grab board, but for this week, we’re sorely tempted by the Sunset Overdrive offering.
We’d like to see it a little cheaper still (perhaps 50% off would have been a nicer amount), but you can be sure that you’ll get many hours of exhilarating gameplay for the price. Throw in the Season Pass as well (buy the two separately to save a whole penny over the Deluxe Edition) and you’ll find yourself bouncing around the streets of Sunset City for more hours than you thought possible.
Leave – NBA Live 15, FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden 15, EA Sports UFC – Xbox One
Do yourself a favour and completely ignore any sale that sees the above titles reduced to around the £20 mark. In fact, ignore any sale that reduces these titles to anything above a fiver!
Not only are they all on their way out, soon to be superseded by a latest and greatest, more up-to-date version, but the EA Access Vault contains all the above games for one super low price. You’ll also be able to get other games like Peggle 2, Battlfield 4 and Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare included, so it makes no sense to buy any of them as individual purchases.
Grab – Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition/HD – Xbox One (£3.00) and Xbox 360 (£1.68)
There’s no way we can even attempt to make out that Zombie Driver is a must buy. But for the price? Well, it’s more than worth a shot.
Smashing everything in sight sees Zombie Driver bring a decent amount of enjoyment to the masses, as you get to tear down the streets in bulldozers, fire trucks and more, testing yourself in the Slaughter and Blood Race modes.
For £3 for the new and improved Xbox One version and nearly half that price on Xbox 360, even if you only play it for a day or two, you shouldn’t turn your nose up at it.
