Xbox Games With Gold freebies change as Livelock gets stripped of price on Xbox One

-

The best thing about hump day? The fact that the free games being given away via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme change. And that means today we get the chance to download Livelock for free.

Available right now on Xbox One with a zero price tag, Livelock is the latest title to be given away for nothing thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for September 2018. Usually priced at £7.99, Livelock is a cooperative shooter that sees you and some mates attempt to save humanity.

Viewed from a top down perspective you get to take charge of one of three chassis, as you take on some intelligent mechanical enemies in a fight to the death. It will only be by understanding the behaviour of these enemies will you find yourself managing to get through the experience, but with both a Story mode and Survival mode available, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to practice.

As long as you have a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, you can now download Livelock for free. All you need to ensure is that you’ve pressed the big download button prior to the middle of October, as that is when we’ll see the price moved back up and another – currently unannounced game – take up the free mantle.

If you want to know more about the game whilst that download rolls on, make sure you check out our review. Should you need to know more about the free Games With Gold titles for September 2018 then make sure you read this article.

Game Description:

Livelock is a co-operative top-down shooter where you play solo or with up to two allies to break the cycle of infinite war between machines. As one of the remaining Capital Intellects, your role is to unlock Eden and revive humanity. Take control of one of three mechanical chassis – Hex, Vanguard or Catalyst – to defeat intelligent mechanical enemies. Intelligent Action Overcome chaotic skirmishes where complete mastery of your arsenal and understanding of enemy behaviors is the key to survival. Three-Player Co-op Combine forces and coordinate with friends to take advantage of class strengths; each chassis has a distinct personality and arsenal to match. Infinite War Explore the post-cataclysmic world and attempt to revive humanity in Story Mode or fight through dynamically generated waves of enemies in Survival Mode. Devastating Firepower Combine your weaponry with devastating class-based skills. Create earth-shattering shockwaves, summon lethal automated drones, and call down searing lasers from orbit at the push of a button.
