Announced just a few months ago, Wild Hearts – the new EA Originals title made in collaboration with KOEI TECMO – is a triple-A monster hunting title that will be releasing next year on PC and console. Sound familiar? Well, maybe you would be mistaken for seeing this as a Monster Hunter clone. However, at The Game Awards 2022, the Ferocious Creatures trailer for the game detailed some unique creatures – named Kemono – that you will be taking down.

Whilst this isn’t the first we have heard of Wild Hearts – check out our article from September for some initial deets on this title – this trailer tells all regarding the terrifying, towering Kemono that are at the centre of Wild Hearts. Such beasts have all fused with their environment, presenting a unique challenge to wannabe hunters, insofar as they must contend with special powers that the Kemono will use to defend themselves. Whilst plant-based squirrels and aggressive Kingtusk boars will challenge you initially, the trailer focuses on three of the most powerful Kemono.

Whether it is the Deathstalker the wolf, Golden Tempest the terrifying tiger, or Amaterasu the pecking hawk, every monster will pose a different threat – adaptation is key! And with the promise of two-player co-op adding an extra layer of complexity, we can be sure that their will be Wild Hearts YouTube guides coming out of our ears very, very soon.

Arriving on February 17th, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC, we already have information regarding pricing. The Wild Hearts Standard Edition will set you back £69.99, with a pre-order granting the player some Emotes and Chat Stamps. The Wild Hearts Karakuri Edition for £89.99 will throw in further Emotes and two full armours for budding hunters.

Keep an eye out for a full launch article come February, and of course a review of the game in due course.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
