2D arena shooter Gravity Heroes announced for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

It’s just been announced that a special task force is getting put together in order to keep the peace on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You’ll be able to manipulate gravity, loot random weapons and clear arenas when they assemble in Gravity Heroes next year!

That’s right, PQube, Studica Solution and Electric Monkeys have revealed the 2D arena shooter Gravity Heroes is heading to the previously mentioned platforms in Q1 2021. There’s set to be a campaign mode present to tackle alone, or with up to three others locally, and it is here you can face off against hordes of robotic enemies. Undoubtedly it looks to fuel 80’s and 90’s nostalgia with an electrifying soundtrack and stylistically popping art style, but also promises diverse arcade action too. Mainly because of Gravity Shifter, the game’s main mechanic, as it allows you to evade and shoot enemies while walking on the ceiling, the walls or just floating around.

The story of Gravity Heroes focuses on the conflict between humans and Synthetics; the latter of which are intelligent and independent systems (or robots basically) capable of reproducing and living together. Many years after a peace pact prevented a devastating war between the two factions, strange cases of revolting Synthetics threaten to reignite the discord. Therefore the Gravity Heroes must step up and step in to try and keep the peace between the warring factions.

Gravity Heroes is announced for a launch in Q1 2021 for PC on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but for those who cannot wait that long, there’s currently a free demo available on Steam. So why not check it out and give it a whirl today? If you do, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section below!

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
