You may well remember us telling you about the launch of 39 Days to Mars on Xbox One as something that would be happening in ‘early 2019‘. Well, how does February sound to you?

The official launch date for 39 Days to Mars on Xbox One has now been confirmed and we should all be setting our calendars for February 6th 2019.

Becoming available for preorder from the Xbox Store later on in January, the development team at It’s Anecdotal will be going great guns to get their PC puzzle-adventure hit, 39 Days to Mars releasing on Xbox One in February.

What is this game all about? Well, you’ll be given the chance to join Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter for an exciting 19th century adventure, partaking in a 1-2 player co-operative adventure that is set in an alternate reality some 150 years in the past. Your task is to safely pilot the HMS Fearful – something which is a bit of a masterpiece of unreliable engineering – on its maiden voyage to Mars.

The problem is, that when the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship’s cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, things get a bit tricky and it’ll quickly become clear that interstellar transportation isn’t a walk in the park. In fact, it will take the talents of two very best friends to work together to make it through a mix of puzzles and action sequences to get to Mars in one piece.

Those over in PC-land will know all about 39 Days to Mars, but very soon it’ll be the turn of Xbox One players to also get in on the action. It is most appreciative that we will also see the additional Victorian Adventures content update that released earlier on PC included as part of the console edition at release.

Those preferring a format away from Xbox One will find that a Nintendo Switch version is also in the works for launch in Early 2019.

39 Days to Mars on Xbox One certainly looks to be an intriguing little title. Will you be picking it up come February? Let us know in the comments.
