xbox game pass august 2019

Each and every month we see the Xbox Game Pass service go from strength to strength with multiple new entries keeping the library of games feeling fresh. Well, with August 2019 those games just keep on coming and we’ll see Xbox and PC players treated to no less than 6 new Xbox Game Pass titles.

Arriving from 1st August will be Ashes Cricket that was first released back in 2017. Although the latest Cricket 19 is a better bet as a cricketing title, the freeness of Ashes Cricket should appeal to many in the build up to The Ashes hitting off.

Alongside that Xbox One gamers will have access to Pandemic, whilst Downwell will be in place to sort out the PC players.  From the 8th August the hilarious The Jackbox Party Pack 2 comes into play along with Space Hulk Tactics on PC, whilst the 14th August sees the drop of Slay the Spire on console and PC. If you’re after some card building, roguelike adventures, this is the game for you.

Full rundown is as follows:

  • Aug 1st – Ashes Cricket – Console/Ultimate
  • Aug 1st – Pandemic – Console/Ultimate
  • Aug 1st – Downwell – PC/Ultimate
  • Aug 8th – The Jackbox Party Pack 2 – Console/Ultimate
  • Aug 8th – Space Hulk Tactics – PC/Ultimate
  • Aug 14th – Slay the Spire – Console/PC/Ultimate

Expect to find some other Xbox and PC titles popping up throughout the month as well. History proves that Microsoft and the big dogs at Xbox HQ aren’t afraid to spring some new Game Pass related surprises on us every now and then. Don’t forget too, games that are added to the service are limited in time and in order to keep the whole scheme fresh and funky, games come and go as the weeks pass. If you’ve got an Xbox Game Pass subscription, make sure you make the most of the games in place as and when you can.

For now, drop down into the comments and let us know what you think of these latest additions to the Xbox Game Pass service. Is your favourite game already included? Is there something standout that is missing? Let us know!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
