Having previously gone down a storm on PC, the 1990s inspired internet simulator that is Hypnospace Outlaw has now come to Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PS4 and Nintendo Switch – and with it comes a whole host of brand new content.
In Hypnospace Outlaw you become a Hypnospace Enforcer; a job which requires you to head into the seedy world of the internet in order to pick up on wrong-doings – copyright infringement, online bullying and more will be yours to report on. But just like back in the 1990s, you’ll need to be aware as should you delve too deep you’ll be at the mercy of multiple viruses and a ton of adware – both useful and dangerous.
Priced at £15.49 or available as a free download via Xbox Game Pass, Hynospace Outlaw promises much, with the delights of GIFS, the darkest of the underweb and the chance to earn Hypnocoins all present throughout. If you remember the internet scene from decades past, this is sure to be of an appeal
Key features include:
- – Crawl through Cyberspace: Scour the darkest corners of the Web for scumbag users who violate Hypnospace law!
- – Dangers and delights: Download groovy GIFS and MIDI files, but watch out for adware, toolbars and hackers!
- – Treasure hunting: Do your job to earn Hypnocoins, or ignore your inbox and go hunting for hidden pages, downloads and secrets!
- – Relive your childhood: Equip obnoxious screensavers and skins for your desktop, and wiggle your mouse pointer around to make pages load faster!
We’ll have a full review for you in the days ahead but for now should you wish to grab Hypnospace Outlaw then the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store and the Nintendo eShop will provide the goods. If you have the game on PC already then you’ll also find an update thrust out there; an update which should ensure all four versions of the game stay in line.
Let’s just hope it’s better than the last game to have ‘Outlaw’ in the title. Street Outlaws that is.
