Curious Expedition 2 released onto Xbox earlier this year to coveted TheXboxHub acclaim, with it gaining a 4.5/5 score at TXH Towers. The rest of the world clearly reflected our praise, as the turn-based narrative roguelike is receiving even more additional content today, in the form of the Robots of Lux DLC.

Curious Expedition 2 has always been a bit, well, curious. Today though it gets even more intriguing as players are given the chance to visit the Shores of Taishi.

At times Curious Expedition 2 feels like a storytelling generator, an algorithm for creating wacky combinations of moments. That’s absolutely the recommendation that it sounds like.

On consoles at least, the original Curious Expedition is almost two years old, and our review indicated that this was a decent roguelike exploration experience with tons of content, albeit perhaps at the cost of repetition. The development team at Maschinen-Mensch are now back with Curious Expedition 2 and a smattering of DLC - will this put right some of their prior wrongs?

Curious Expedition on Xbox One is a unique, interesting and solid game. The ideas that mix choosing your own adventure with rogue-like gameplay are more intriguing than I thought they would be, and the survival hardships and elements when combined with a fantasy world that harks back to 1950's adventure movies is a great tone to pick.

Played Curious Expedition on PC? Well, Thunderful have today announced that the game will soon be coming to consoles, whilst also revealing details about an Early Access sequel.

We're big fans of the MudRunner series, having invested tons of hours of play into Spintires: MudRunner and SnowRunner. Next up for the franchise is Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. And it looks beautiful.
