Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble. Black Book gives you the opportunity to live out your dream of being a practicing witch. Don’t deny it - you’ve had that dream.
Card games tend to be nerdy, complex beasts on the Xbox, so it’s refreshing to come across one that’s aiming to be accessible. Rise of the Slime is a deckbuilder where you play a slime that’s been drawn onto a lollipop stick, and it has an easy charm that is hard to resist. Rise of the Slime is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Having been found kicking around on PC through Steam in Early Access form for over two years, Rise of the Slime has been announced for release on Xbox (Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S), PlayStation (point to PS4 and PS5), Nintendo Switch and full drop on PC.
Checking out trailers or screenies for Fights in Tight Spaces, you’d be forgiven for seeing it as a composite of different games. There’s SUPERHOT of course, not only in the way it looks - like a fight in an Ikea catalogue - but in the way it slows down frantic combat to a step-by-step. There’s John Wick too, and more specifically John Wick Hex. Hex searched for a way to make the incredibly fluid brawling of John Wick work in a turn-based tactical game. Fights in Tight Spaces has similar aims.
Deck-building games with a tactical edge aren’t rare these days, which is why Nowhere Prophet is bringing its own spin on proceedings. Prepare for an Indian-infused, dustpunk experience with a few cards up its sleeve on Xbox One and PC via Xbox Game Pass.

We love a bit of dice rolling and barely a day goes by when we're not deck building. The confirmation that Tamarak Trail will now be coming to console as well as PC is therefore hugely appreciated.
KEMCO are well known in these parts for creating some lovely old-school fantasy adventures. In fact, over the years they've thrown out a host of those exact games to Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Switch. Today though they are going for something a little different - Overrogue is a card deck-builder which mixes in some roguelite action.
