It’s not a surprise, but it still hurts. We always lose a number of games from Game Pass at the midway of the month, but that doesn’t mean that we have to like it. Boo, Microsoft. Boo.
Critical darling Life is Strange: True Colors will be the notable Game Pass addition for many subscribers today. But if you have a PC, you may be distracted by a couple of newcomers to the service
The Life is Strange franchise is one that has rarely failed to deliver. Having started way back in 2015 when episodic storytelling was all the rage, it's gone through multiple variations, telling tales as it does so. Today though it's time to go back to where it all started with Life is Strange and the spin-off from that, Before the Storm. But why? Well, because they make up the entirety of the Life is Strange Remastered Collection.
If you enjoyed what True Colors originally delivered, you’ll certainly enjoy more of being in this world with Wavelengths, and that’s not only because you’ll get the chance to give Steph a little more time. She may not have been everyone’s favorite character initially, but Wavelengths and the five hours or so of gameplay it brings, certainly changes that.
Did you buy the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors? Maybe you purchased the Standard version and then threw on the Deluxe Upgrade because you liked it so much? If you did then you are now in luck as the True Colors - Wavelengths prequel DLC is now available.
When Square Enix rocked up onto the gaming scene with the time-manipulating episodic Life is Strange way back in 2015, few could have imagined the impact the series would have. But here we are, some six years on, highly anticipating the next instalment in the franchise. It's True Colors which now takes centre stage - along with the psychic power of Empathy.
I’ve been pretty much bowled over by Life is Strange: True Colors - the story, characters, and themes have really managed to strike a chord. Others might find the tone and writing not to their taste and that's fine, but I don't think anyone can deny that the team behind it have progressed their art form and game-making skills in a positive direction with this latest addition to the franchise. Long may it continue.
Anyone who has ever taken in a Life is Strange episode will know all about the narrative, the mystery, the magic and the protagonists. Now though the next chapter in the franchise has been detailed and dated, alongside that of a Remastered Collection. Wanna know more about Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange Remastered Collection?
