We've grabbed the skid lid, donned the leathers and jumped astride some of the fastest MotoGP bikes on the earth with MotoGP 23 ahead of it releasing on Xbox, PlayStation and PC
We would have put out house on Milestone continuing their presence in the two-wheeled motorsport space with another addition to their MotoGP series. That house is safe too as MotoGP 22 is confirmed - a bigger, sharper, faster version of that which has gone before it.
The latest in the MotoGP series of games is probably the greatest too. MotoGP 21 looks great, sounds right, and when the gameplay and tactics click and you finally start to make progress through the ranks, it’s a great feeling.
If there's one thing Milestone Studios know a thing or two about, it's motorbikes. And with the launch of MotoGP 21 from the Italian developers, gamers are being promised the most immersive, most realistic MotoGP experience yet.
Before we know it Milestone Studios and Dorna Sports will be giving us the opportunity to join the MotoGP 21 grid, with the next highly anticipated addition to the series. Before release though they have dropped the very first gameplay trailer, and detailed a new Penalty feature that should ensure the racing found within is kept fair.
We would happily have put our house on it, but confirmation is now here - Milestone Studios are getting ready to push out the most realistic MotoGP experience yet, as MotoGP 21 prepares to warm up its engines for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. And there's even a fully confirmed release date to bring the hype even more.
If you're interested in two-wheeled motorsport and you like your video games, then chances are you would have played a game by Milestone Studios. The leaders in the virtual motorcycle racing scene, Milestone have a plethora of hits behind them, with the RIDE series, the Monster Energy Supercross franchise and numerous MXGP offerings filling their back catalogue. But they are possibly best known for the stunning re-creations of the MotoGP scene, with MotoGP 20 their latest title to release on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and PC. After being wowed by what it has recently delivered we reached out to Milestone in order to try and find out what makes them tick, and how MotoGP 20 came to be. Their studio producer was more than happy to take the time to answer our questions...
I’m finding it hard to fault Milestone for what they’ve produced with MotoGP 20 on Xbox One. With multiple game modes, a career which is as deep and immersive as you want it to be, and an online offering which has so far worked flawlessly, there has hardly been a wheel misplaced in the development of this latest racer.
