If you're looking for a little indie game to while away the hours, you can rely on Ratalaika Games to deliver it. This week's offering from the prolific indie publisher is that of Prisonela DX on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.Â
First debuting on PC in late 2021, and being moved onto PlayStation and Switch earlier this year, it is finally time for Xbox players to enjoy the action-packed, chaotic gameplay of Spectrolite - Speed Life.
It can sometimes be difficult to summarise the newest games to release on our beloved consoles, and Castle on the Coast, with its parkouring giraffe, magic castle and fantasy wonderland to explore doesn’t make it any easier!
Mirror's Edge will likely never get a third try. The second game does not look like a cheap effort. By all accounts it is beautiful, especially with its FPS Boost enhancements. The city glows at nights and shines in the day. Lights will reflect off of Catalyst’s many structures made of glass. It’s spectacular to run through. But such a lavish production often comes with risk aversion and sadly Catalyst crumbles under this pressure. It’s held back by the pressure to conform, rather than trying to be genuinely different.
It’s not often you get the chance to get behind the wheel and operate a digger in gaming, with such rare opportunities involving the rather serious farming and construction simulators. That's why it's a nice change to see the developers at Pico Sacro Games taking the classic piece of heavy machinery out of its natural habitat for BH Trials on Xbox One. Instead of digging trenches and performing forestry work, BH Trials wants you to have fun with a bit of parkour. That isn’t a mistake, digger parkour really is the concept, but does it make for a fresh and enjoyable puzzler, or will you end up digging a hole to bury the game in?
There was a time when everyone went parkour mad, but even at its peak we never saw anything like what BH Trials has to offer on Xbox One. Imagine the highly skilled parkour skills being performed by a Backhoe digger - yes, seriously. We just have one simple question to ask you: can you dig that?
The futuristic 3D open-world of Hover looks to have you dashing, sliding and bouncing around freely as you help a city to overcome oppression. You won’t necessarily be alone in this task either as Hover will have cross-platform multiplayer on consoles and it's coming very soon!
