We love a Yakuza game and with a host having dropped onto Xbox over the course of recent times, it's a series that we've pumped many an hour into. But SEGA have got more for us and today they have not just pushed the rather brilliant Judgment series to PC via Steam, but have also announced - and dated - a trio of new Like a Dragon titles, of which Ishin! will be first out of the gate.
Fancy joining the HYENAS, ready to fight for the lion's share? That's exactly what SEGA will want you to be doing in their new, uber-flashy multiplayer shooter.
It might still concern some people to see Microsoft influencing the industry so freely just by opening its wallet, but I think it would be a tragedy for a company with a history like Sega to not have the resources to utilise their legacy to the fullest. It was way back in 2006 when Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz wowed the Nintendo Wii crowd, seeing kids, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents the world over clamour for the monkey madness. Now though it's back and today SEGA have confirmed the full release date for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD for Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Oh, and there's a nifty little trailer to take in too!
SEGA have just announced a multi-year, global toy licensing deal with world renowned toymakers and the US market leader, JAKKS Pacific, to manufacture and distribute toys based on the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog brand!
It’s fair to say that SEGA is going through a renaissance these past couple of years. Their IPs seem to be going from strength to strength, to the point where the studio is becoming less and less reliant on their blue hedgehog. Quick to capitalise on this, they’re launching an online store for UK and European countries in collaboration with online-store veterans Numskull Designs.
It's not often we get access to a bundle of games for nothing via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme, but that is now exactly what we are getting as Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World goes free.
