Tales from the Borderlands. What a blast that was back in the day, with Telltale Games doing a smashing job bringing the Borderlands universe to life in their episodic adventure format. An adventure which created long-lasting memories and thus helped generate excitement as Gearbox Software primed to unveil a spiritual successor in the form of New Tales from the Borderlands. It’s a new cast, a new story, but with the classic Borderlands humour, so New Tales from the Borderlands is going to be a totally rad offering, right?

We'll be honest, we didn't expect to be found continuing our journey through the Borderlands anytime soon. But when 2K and Gearbox announced that the New Tales from the Borderlands would be arriving, we cleared the decks, readying ourselves to take in the adventures once more. And now it's time for those adventures to commence.

So, looking back to 2014, Tales from the Borderlands stands up to the test of time, and is still one of my favourite Telltale experiences to this day.

What we’ve discovered up to this point is that this adventure with Rhys and Fiona could be the best of the Telltale Games series. With very few lowlights and a load of unforgettable highlights, can the series finish on a high by providing a solid finale in The Vault of the Traveler, befitting of the greatness that has gone before it?

Telltale Games have today announced the release dates for the final episode of Tales from the Borderlands. They've also given us a little peek at the upcoming action and announced the first episode is now free for all.

Telltale Games have a lot to do for ‘Escape Plan Bravo’ to keep up the high standards set in previous episodes but if they can do so, well, this series could surpass the likes of The Walking Dead.
