You have probably spent plenty of time with theHunter: Call of the Wild over the last few years. And now it's time to return to the plains, with new DLC and a free update.
The Sundarpatan Nepal Hunting Reserve DLC for theHunter: Call of the Wild brings with it over a dozen new animals to take down, a new weapon in the 19th century Gandhare Rifle to try out, and of course a beautiful new reserve to explore.
It's been nearly six years since theHunter: Call of the Wild first popped up onto our consoles, making a name for itself as the finest hunting experience in the gaming lands. And even now, in 2023, it's a game that continues to stay fresh - and that's all thanks to even more new DLC.Â
You'd think that with the announcement of the upcoming Call of the Wild: The Angler, every hour of the day would be focused on that game. But you'd be wrong and once again we find Expansive Worlds pushing out additional content for their critically acclaimed theHunter: Call of the Wild.
It's still the best hunting experience you can get on console and even though theHunter: Call of the Wild has been around for a good few years already, fresh content has kept players interested. The latest option is possibly one of the greatest yet too, as theHunter players get the chance to go off and hunt on the shore of the Great Mississippi River with the Mississippi Acres Preserve.
It's still the best hunting title out there, and much of the reason for that is that it's been enhanced multiple times with many different DLC additions. Today we see the Rancho del Arroyo drop into theHunter: Call of the Wild on console.
theHunter: Call of the Wild isn't the only hunting experience available on console or PC. But it's most definitely the best. Today though it gets better still as man's best friend joins us for the ride as we get the chance to utilise the power of a Bloodhound and get tracking like never before.
theHunter: Call of the Wild 2021 Edition on Xbox is a game that I have really enjoyed. The slow pace and deliberate way you have to approach the hunts are a welcome change of pace from the frenetic games that frequent the marketplace, the vistas are beautiful, and the approach to your prey needs to be bang on if you are to stand a chance of seeing anything other than a retreating derriere.
We've been turkey tracking in the Rockys, we've created the perfect ambush with new equipment, and we've been on a wild goose chase more times than we care to mention. It could be said that theHunter: Call of the Wild has provided a host of brilliant hunting opportunities over the years. But now it's time to head to New Zealand, as we explore the wonders of the Te Awaroa National Park.
