With the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 just a matter of weeks away, Activision have today dropped a new behind-the-scenes videos which captures the feel of the sport and shows off its top pros.
Soundtracks are big business but one of the very first series' to bring some stunning tunes into our living rooms was that of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater titles. Today, Activision have announced the full track listing for their upcoming Pro Skater 5...and it sounds bloody amazing.
You've probably not heard of Supermoves, nor the new Finnish studio behind it - Makea Games. Very soon though, you will. In fact, you're hearing of them right now.
I was a little disappointed when Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was announced. This was simply for the reason that the third game - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 - was the one which held the fondest memories.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, published by Activision, became an instant hit as gamers of all ages attempted to successfully land one of Hawk’s 100 signature skateboarding tricks.
After the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 on Xbox, we can definitely say that the franchise is back. After the disaster of Pro Skater 5, and the so-so remake on the Xbox 360, this is easily the compilation that brings the Tony Hawk’s franchise back into the gaming spotlight.
When Activision brought Tony Hawk's back from the dead in 2020 with reworked, rebooted versions of the classic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2, skate fans were in for a treat with a game that provided everything they could ever have wanted in a skating title. But like many, Activision haven't sat on their laurels, and today we see Tony hit the next-gen with fully optimised skating action on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
We knew it would be good, but we're not sure anyone thought that a remastered version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 was actually going to be THAT good. But when it hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC back at the end of 2020, it wowed pretty much everyone who played it. Now though it's getting set to move forward even faster, kickflipping and tricking its way to Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
