Train Sim World Review

I’ve been a train driver before you know? Oh yeah, I can tell the difference between a standard Class 166 GWG and the stubborn workhorse that is the Class 66 DBS. I can switch between my train duties with the ability of a young gazelle, and the proudness of a man who loves his job. Yes, there have been difficulties, I've fallen onto the track more times than I care to remember, have been late delivering passengers, and I’ve run a lot of red signals. But I have a lot of heart, a willingness to do better and a promise that I will get my train from Paddington to Reading in the snow, wind or hail - at least with some heartfelt apologies. As you can tell I’ve been playing a lot of Train Sim World.

Train Sim World 6 Review

In Train Sim World 6 I liked the new random events, even though after a while I saw the same things appearing, and the new tracks and trains are always appreciated. But I am looking forward to seeing what the next entry will, hopefully truly pushing the franchise forward in a more significant way.

Train Sim World 5 Review

I interviewed one of the developers of the Train Sim World team a few years ago. I talked to him about a dream scenario...

Train Sim World 4 Review

There’s no doubt that Train Sim World 4 is yet another strong entry in the Train Sim World series.

Train Sim World 3 Review

Train Sim World 3 is niche and so if you're not into the joys of the railway and don’t particularly get on with driving trains, then don’t expect much enjoyment from it. Veterans though will be delighted.

Train Sim World 2: Southeastern High Speed: London St Pancras – Faversham DLC Review

The Train Sim World 2: Southeastern High Speed: London St Pancras – Faversham DLC on Xbox is a solid piece of DLC that will keep the veteran Train Sim World fans very happy indeed. This is a big route to add in and it comes with some nice features, particularly in the easy-to-drive trains. It might not be as showy as what has come before it, but it delivers a well-rounded commuter experience that enthusiasts will love.

Train Sim World 2: Isle of Wight: Ryde – Shanklin Review

Train Sim World 2: Isle of Wight: Ryde - Shanklin on Xbox One is a piece of DLC that the Train Sim World enthusiasts will lap up. It features an iconic track and great piece of rolling stock that will have the fans salivating. It's a pretty route too, especially the Ryde pier section that rolls along the seafront. I do however find that the more I play this game, the lack of an upgrade in passenger design and AI becomes all the more concerning, and I feel that Dovetail would do well to examine this issue as the franchise progresses.

Train Sim World 2 Review

Once again, train sim fans and those who love the railways will absolutely adore this, and so if you fancy having a go at being a train driver there isn't a better place to achieve your dream than with Train Sim World 2.

Train Sim World: Founders Edition Review

The sim world is all-encompassing and it can suck every inch of your life away. Ask any Football Manager fanatic who has burned hundreds of hours in their quest for trophies. But our appetite for these games is huge. Maybe it's the chance to escape into another person's life for a moment, and sharing their experiences at work that appeals. And with that in mind, when you were a kid, everyone - and I mean, everyone - at least at one point wanted to be a train driver. Train Sim World: Founders Edition gives you that chance.

007 First Light Review

007 First Light is a triumph. It has a legitimate claim to the best James Bond game ever, managing to reboot the series whilst cherishing what makes it so special. It’s the start of a new era for Bond, which will leave you shaken, not stirred.
