Releasing on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch consoles, Cyber Citizen Shockman tells the story of two students - Tasuke and Kyapiko - who turn out to be androids built by the crazy genius Doc, and also have the ability to transform into the superhero Shockman!
As an open-worlding, off-roading, adventuring affair, SnowRunner is a stunner; a game which will have you treading carefully as you go about completing a variety of missions. It's a game that is as deep as you can get, and now, with the arrival of the SnowRunner Western Star Wolf Pack, it's a game that continues to thrive.Â
Next up in what feels like a random game generator is Wild West Crops, out today on Xbox and PlayStation. Random, because the Wild West isn’t best known for mutated vegetables hellbent on trying to kill an anthropomorphic cat. Yet here we are.
A Western Drama aims to bring visually-impaired or plain curious players into the Wild West, immersing them in its grit and machismo. It nails that goal, delivering saddlebags full of Spaghetti Western music, gunfights and duels, without attempting to explain why the visuals aren’t there.
If you're one of those who think that visuals are everything, then you'd probably be best to walk away from A Western Drama on Xbox right now. For this is a tale that focuses on the audio - nothing more, nothing less.Â
So what do we have with Virtuous Western? Well, it's nothing more than a nice idea, with average execution. It has some brilliant ways of dispatching enemies and solving puzzles, and the easy achievements are a nice addition. But plonking a puzzle game in the Wild West ultimately falls short here, because the game simply lacks any sense of challenge.
It may be no Red Dead Redemption, and it may struggle to even reach the gunslinging heights of Desperados III, but there's something pretty fun and quirky about the release of Virtuous Western.Â
The Wild West is a place where those with a gun make the laws, with henchmen at their command do what’s necessary and the undertakers work overtime on a daily basis. Deaths will be occurring frequently once people get their hands on Desperados III, that's for sure.
