Destruction Derby has not been this good in video games for years. It’s just such a shame the publisher is charging for an update that affects Xbox Series S players in such a way. If you’re playing on an Xbox Series X, then Wreckfest is a fast, aggressive and chaotically fun racing game. I would definitely recommend it. Otherwise, wait for an update on the Series S side, for the time being.
Are you ready for an epic new track and some even more epic new cars? If you're a Wreckfest player then the Super Truck Showdown and new Off-Road Car Pack should well be yours - and you don't necessarily need to stump up any cash either.
We've had tons of brilliant DLC additions join Wreckfest since the game launched back in 2019, with car packs galore rocking up to provide various fun times. Now though things are moving up a notch as the Wrecknado whirls into play, with it whipping up yet another car pack for good measure.
We've laughed at the likes of the Goofy Roofs, and we've had the chance to become part of the Backwoods Bangers, now though Wreckfest players are given the opportunity to join the Racing Heroes as the latest car pack DLC for the game rolls out.
Just over a year ago Wreckfest arrived to deliver a tasty little demolition derby experience to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Since that time it has evolved massively, with the introduction of numerous DLC packs and content upgrades. Now though it's going one step further again, with the arrival of Wreckfest Complete Edition and the first load of Season 2 content.
In Wreckfest we've not just had the opportunity to crash and bang our way through the usual field of opponents. Instead over the course of the last few months we've been able to go into battle with some Goofy Roofs, some Modified Monsters, and some Retro Rammers. Now though we find Bugbear Entertainment and THQ Nordic going back to the roots, with the introduction of the Banger Racing Car Pack.
Wreckfest has been improved and enhanced multiple times since launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC back in 2019, with the Backwoods Bangers and Rusty Rats content drops just two of the weird and wacky additions that have been made. Today though we see the fifth car pack arrive, alongside that of a free update in the form of a huge new tournament.
We've seen the Retro Rammers, we've laughed at the Goofy Roofs and we've beat up the Backwoods Bangers. Today though Wreckfest is expanding once more - with the Rusty Rats Car Pack.
Many will think of Wreckfest as a silly old racer, harnessing fun and not caring too much about who gets hurt. But if truth be told there is a serious racer hidden deep within and with the latest Steel & Wheels DLC pack, that hardcore racing experience is coming to the fore.
Wreckfest is a racer like no other, much happier in the knowledge that it is going to leave gamers smiling for its madcap ideas rather than its nailing of any apex. With multiple content packs already having arrived to bring even more uniqueness into the game than what was available at launch, once again we see another pack drop, with the Backwoods Bangers providing three new 'unique' motors.
