In Sugardew Island, your new life begins as you take over your own farm shop. Your mission is to not only take care of your plants and animals but to sell your goods to the charming local residents, the Forest Folk. As you do, you’ll fulfil small orders from the magical Harmony Tree, helping to heal it and fill the island with life once again.

This is a title we’ve had on our radar for a while. It was back in 2024 that we first caught a glimpse of this beautiful adventure when we reported that Sugardew Island was a cozy farm shop sim promising a relaxing escape.
Now, that promise has been fulfilled with this surprise arrival on the Xbox platform.
A Cozy Blend of Commerce and Community
The core gameplay loop is a relaxing and rewarding blend of different activities. You’ll need to take care of your plants, make fertilizer, and gather resources like wood and stone to make farm improvements. You’ll then sell your items in your shop, and can even negotiate with the Forest Folk for the best prices.
The money you earn can be used to improve your house, barn, and tools, enhancing your efficiency.
But of course, the island is full of life! You’ll need to feed, interact, and build bonds with a variety of animals to get eggs and milk. You can also get your own pet companions, who will follow you around the island as you work.
Beyond the animals, you can befriend or even date the friendly locals, choosing to build deep friendships or maybe even something more.
Is Sugardew Island on Game Pass?
It is important to note that Sugardew Island on Xbox does not launch on the Game Pass subscription service, and nor does it support the power of Xbox Play Anywhere.
We would hope that it’ll come to Game Pass at some time in the future, but for now, if you want access, it’s going to cost you.
