Action-RPG on your radar? You’ll probably not want to veer too far away from what is on offer in The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story.
Available today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with full new-gen optimisation in play, is The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. It’s a game that has come about via the Digital Sun and Riot Forge teams as players discover the opportunity to take in an all-new action RPG. As you would expect to hear, it’s one that is set in the League of Legends universe.
It has you playing as Sylas, a mage who has broken from his captivity at the hands of the Mageseekers. See, it is they who have been going all-out to oppress citizens who utilise magic, locking them away forevermore. You’ll need to help Sylas escape the shackles, liberating your hometown as you go.
In The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story you’ll discover a huge focus on magic, that and the need to create a revolution. With the chance to forge a legacy at the very heart of what you do, throwing out spells and casting magic will be par for the course. In fact, it’s something that is highlighted in the key feature set for the game.
- Command the Magic – Magic is everywhere, including on the battlefield. From searing flames to deadly ice, master a variety of spells and customize your unique play style. Brandish your chains and use your enemies’ magic against them, or bash them with your fists–the choice is yours.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is on the Xbox Store in a couple of flavours. There’s the £24.99 Standard Edition which will give you full access to the base game, but alongside that is – maybe – the £34.99 Deluxe Edition. Pay up the extra cash and a smattering of extra content will be yours – the Silverwing Supply Station Pack, the Home Sweet Cave Pack, the Hijacked Spells Pack, and the Unchained Skins Pack. Expect to find similar on PlayStation, Switch and PC.
