Mahjongus Mystery of Fortescue – out now on Xbox

It seems somebody at Ocean Media has decided that one Mahjong release wasn’t enough for a single day. Hot on the heels of Eco Mahjong comes Mahjongus: Mystery of Fortescue, another tile-matching adventure from publisher Ocean Media and developer JetDogs Studios.

This time, however, the focus shifts away from environmental restoration and towards magical academies, ancient crystals and long-buried secrets.

Available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ5.79, Mahjongus: Mystery of Fortescue wraps 150 Mahjong puzzles inside a fantasy mystery that could prove appealing for players looking for a little more story alongside their tile matching.

At A Glance

  • Game: Mahjongus: Mystery of Fortescue
  • Developer: JetDogs Studios
  • Publisher: Ocean Media
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
  • Price: ÂŁ5.79
  • Genre: Mahjong / Puzzle Adventure

A Magical Academy In Crisis

The adventure follows Victor Graves, a respected expert in runic sorcery and graduate of the Academy of Magic. Upon returning to the academy, he discovers something has gone terribly wrong. The once-thriving halls have fallen into darkness, sealed away by a mysterious crystal that appears to be consuming magic itself. With the academy’s future hanging in the balance, it’s up to Victor to uncover the truth behind the strange phenomenon.

From there, Mahjongus: Mystery of Fortescue remains a traditional Mahjong experience. Players will work through more than 150 tile-matching boards as they gradually uncover the story surrounding the academy and its magical troubles. Alongside the Mahjong stages, hidden object sequences help break up the action and add another layer to the investigation.

Ready To Enter Fortescue?

Mahjongus: Mystery of Fortescue is available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ5.79. Just head to the Xbox Store.

If you’re a Mahjong fan looking for your next puzzle fix, or simply fancy exploring a magical mystery between bigger releases, Victor Graves’ latest investigation may be worth enrolling in.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
