The galaxy is rarely short of heroes, but STAR WARS Zero Company is asking you to think a little differently. Forget charging blindly into battle with a blaster in hand – this time, survival depends on planning the perfect operation, assembling the right squad and making every move count.
The new single-player turn-based tactics game has now launched on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, sending players into the darker corners of the Clone Wars era for a story that puts strategy firmly at the heart of the action.
Developed by Bit Reactor and published by Electronic Arts, STAR WARS Zero Company puts you in command of an elite team of operatives facing a threat that could have consequences far beyond a single battlefield.

Assemble Your Squad And Prepare For The Unknown
At the centre of STAR WARS Zero Company is Hawks, a former Republic officer now tasked with leading a group of highly capable specialists into dangerous territory.
The mission is far from straightforward. An emerging threat is beginning to take shape, and if Zero Company fails to stop it, the consequences could spread throughout the galaxy.
That means heading out on tactical operations, carrying out investigations and taking part in increasingly dangerous missions. And because this is a turn-based tactics game, having the biggest blaster isn’t necessarily going to be enough to save the day.
Positioning, abilities and squad composition will all play a part in determining whether your team emerges victorious or ends up as another unfortunate entry in the Republic’s paperwork.
Choose Who Fights Alongside You
One of the biggest hooks of Zero Company is the freedom to construct your own squad.
Players can recruit and deploy a variety of operatives drawn from familiar Star Wars-style archetypes. That means scoundrels, astromechs and even Jedi can potentially find themselves working together, each bringing different abilities and tactical options to the battlefield.
Hawks can also be customised, with players able to shape their combat specialisation and appearance before building out the rest of their team.
Original characters and custom-made operatives can be tailored through their loadouts, abilities and visual appearance, giving you plenty of opportunities to create a squad that feels like your own personal crack team of galactic problem-solvers.
Every Mission Is Part Of A Bigger Campaign
Zero Company isn’t simply about dropping into isolated battles. A shifting mission map puts decisions in your hands as you determine where your squad goes and how you approach the wider campaign.
The choices you make can influence how the story unfolds, while the battlefield itself demands careful thinking and adaptability.
Squad members can also grow closer as they take on missions together, developing new skills and unlocking combat synergies. Get the right team working in harmony and you could create combinations capable of turning an impossible situation around.
Get the wrong people together, however? Well, let’s just say there are probably easier ways to learn about team dynamics.

A Mission We’ve Been Watching For Some Time
Whether you’re a long-time Star Wars fan looking to experience the Clone Wars from a more tactical perspective, or simply enjoy the careful decision-making of turn-based strategy games, Zero Company looks set to offer something a little different from the usual galactic adventure.
The Force may be useful, but in STAR WARS Zero Company, a well-positioned squad, a smart plan and knowing exactly when to make your move might prove even more valuable.
STAR WARS Zero Company may not be present in Game Pass, but it is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Our review is on the way.
