SOPA – on Xbox, Game Pass, PC and Play Anywhere

A beautifully animated, emotional magical adventure that will pull you into a distant fantastical land has just stepped out of the pantry and onto Xbox, Play Anywhere, PC and Game Pass in SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato.,

From award-winning developer StudioBando, SOPA is a unique new quest that is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC for £16.74. And in the best news for subscribers, it is also a Day One drop on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Inspired by the likes of Coco and the works of Hayao Miyazaki, this is a tale about family, adventure, and the things we pass along to future generations.

The Quest for Nana’s Exotic Ingredients

The story of SOPA begins when a young boy named Miho steps into the pantry to get a potato for his grandmother’s soup. Suddenly, he is pulled into a distant fantastical land. In his quest to find the exotic ingredients for their meal, he finds himself retracing the steps of a mysterious ancient explorer before him.

With each ingredient Miho returns to the kitchen, things have changed in unexpected ways. This creates a captivating narrative loop where the familiar becomes strange, and every return trip to the kitchen offers a new perspective on Miho’s journey.

A Lush, Animated World

You will step into a lush, animated world of magic-realism, inspired by the enchanting styles of Spirited Away, The Little Prince, and Coco. You’ll need to overcome a variety of obstacles as you explore 3D environments set in the mysterious depths of South America, befriending an unforgettable cast of talking beasts and quirky characters along the way.

On your journey, you’ll paddle down rivers, unravel clever puzzles, and collect mysterious items. You’ll also unlock incredible songs that contribute to the game’s atmospheric soundtrack, all while absorbing a captivating tale full of warmth and wit that will take you around four hours to play.
