You would think that in the wake of Gamescom things would be slightly less hectic in the Xbox world and whilst you would be right, there are still a shed load of stories from the last week that you shouldn’t be missing. So let us round up the very best ones for you.
We shall start by taking a look at online gaming. We all know and love the Xbox Live service but occasionally (read near on every day!), we’ll come across someone who takes things just that little bit too seriously; running with a win-at-all-costs attitude. That prompted us to have a think about how the online side of gaming has progressed over the years with our ‘Has online gaming become too competitive’ article. Let us know what you think in the comments at the end of the post.
Alongside that, we brought you two new reviews. Firstly, The Golf Club went live as an Xbox One digital download and we just had to get some thoughts out with regards that. With Tiger Woods and the EA golf games out of the way, there is a prime opportunity for someone else to jump feet first into the vacated space, especially for one that brings a wealth of editing options to the table. Has HB Studios golf sim filled the void? Check out our review.
The second review of the week saw us take a look at the Guardians of the Galaxy table that has appeared on the Xbox One version of Pinball FX2. It’s a relatively cheap download that promises to bring plenty of ball pinging to your console. But is it any good? Our review should hopefully answer that question!
And then we get round to the big news stories and if you’re a racer, then odds are you’ll be super excited about what is to come. Forza Horizon 2 will release on Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the end of September and the car list alone should just about tempt you into a purchase. We told you about the latest set of cars that have been revealed for the game as well as throwing you a full list of all the reveals in manufacturer order. It’s looking very promising, as indeed is Ubisofts racer cum RPG cum open world adventure, The Crew. The latest trailer takes you on a tour of the world’s greatest playground and is more than worth a watch.
If you’re after a few more trailers then the following should be on your must watch list, especially if you’re looking forward to Destiny!:
- New LEGO Batman 3 Brainiac trailer and artwork released
- The latest Destiny trailer takes you on a trip to Venus
- The official Destiny launch gameplay trailer is here!
- Empire of the Sky DLC now available in Trials Fusion. Trailer included.
We will leave you this week with some bad news for Xbox 360 owners, in particular those who have an addiction for FIFA and its Pro Clubs mode. If you are one of those, then you may wish to sit down before reading on as Pro Clubs has been DROPPED from FIFA 15 on Xbox 360. Prepare yourself and then read about it just here.
Catch you next week but in the meantime, don’t forget to subscribe to our new weekly newsletter!
