February has kicked off in style, but what were the biggest Xbox One and Xbox 360 news, reviews and videos of the last week? We take a look at our favourites and let you know exactly why!
It was a big week for the guys at Telltale Games as the second episode of Game Of Thrones released on Xbox One and Xbox 360. If you haven’t yet checked the series out, your first port of call should be the official launch trailer for The Lost Lords and immediately after that, you should make a bee-line for our full review. Episode 1 may not have kicked off the Thrones universe as well as it should but surely the second episode can turn things round?
Another game that has come out in series form is that of Life Is Strange. DONTNOD Entertainment and Square Enix have brought the story of Max and her friend Chloe to both One and 360 owners and it promises to be something rather spectacular. The first episode, ‘Chrysalis’ is out now and we’ve already managed to get a review out there for it. Without spoiling too much, you’ll want to read our thoughts asap, but just make sure you’ve got a few quid stashed in your Live account ready for a purchase. We don’t think you’ll be able to resist the compelling story it tells.
There were also two more reviews hitting the TXH pages in the last week. Not ones to leave Trials Fusion alone, we had to take a look at the latest DLC pack for the Xbox One version of the game. Fire in the Deep is the biggest pack yet for the RedLynx and Ubisoft time trialer…but does bigger mean better? Our review tells all.
As does our Dying Light review. The biggest game release of January (and indeed February once the physical copies show up) doesn’t disappoint, but we tell you why you really should be playing Techlands big zombie basher. Spoiler…beause it’s bloody good!
Away from the reviews and there were big stories regarding the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. Fans of the series are chomping at the bit and this last week saw two things throw their anticipation levels into orbit. The first contained details of the Premium, Special and Kollectors Editions of the game when it drops in April and to say they look like great additions to the schedule would be a bit of an understatement. Secondly, the guys at NeatherRealm Studios have released a new video, going behinds the scenes to show off some of the new features and factions that will be available in Mortal Kombat X. April can’t come soon enough!
Finally for this week we’d like to point you in the direction of the most recent addition to the Xbox Games With Gold promotion scheme, that of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (one of our favourite ever XBLA games btw), and the latest Xbox One System Update which is rolling out right now. It brings some lovely new features to the worlds greatest console including our personal fav…Games Hubs. We also managed take a quick look at each and every physical release on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in February. It may not be super busy for releases, but what is coming looks to be rather decent.
Oh, and you really can’t miss the latest live trailer from 2K and Turtle Rock Studios. EVOLVE is out this coming week and we’re super excited! We trust you are too?
See ya.
