A Week In The Hub: 29th March – 4th April 2015

It’s time to chalk off another week and take a look back at the very best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news, reviews and videos from the last seven days. You didn’t miss anything did you?

Because if you did, there were some superb videos that dropped in the last week.

First up, #HunttheTruth is up and running with the latest two Halo 5: Guardians trailers showing the legendary Master Chief pitting his wits against the UNSC’s top manhunter in Spartan Locke. The Halo hype machine is fast getting up to speed and we’re expecting plenty more teasers to hit home over the next few weeks. In fact, they’ll probably keep dropping until the game releases in full on Oct 27th 2015.

If you’re looking for something a little closer to home, then this months big release is most definitely that of Mortal Kombat X. We’ve covered the game fairly extensively over the last few months and this week has seen two new videos released. You can see both the trailer for the Briggs family and the rather lovely live action TV spot on the links below. You may also like to check out a few other bits and bobs whilst you’re there!

After the disastrous end to 2014, it’ll be interesting to see how Ubisoft handle the Chronicles Trilogy when they release later this year.

Over on the review side of things, we’ve seen five new review articles go live in the last week, three of which see some Season Pass content finalised. You can find our thoughts on the final WWE 2K15 DLC right here, the last part of the Trials Fusion content pack on this link and Episode 4 of Resident Evil Revelations 2 on Xbox One here. All should be checked out…if only so you don’t waste any of that hard earned cash of yours.

We also managed to take a look at the mid term episode for Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones offering. After a bit of a dodgy start, the story of House Forrester seems to have picked up considerably and whilst it’s still not quite the best addition to the Telltale Games library, Episode 3 at least makes you want to check it out and is a decent move in the right direction.

There is also one other game that has just recently been released on to the Xbox One games store and that is Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty. We were massive fans of the original Abe’s Oddysee when it released on Playstation many moons ago. Does the revamped version deserve a place in the hearts of a modern day gamer? Our review shouts about its many positives from the rooftops!

Finally, make sure you’ve checked out our ‘Up Next’ article detailing all the retail releases on Xbox One and Xbox 360 and indeed the deets in regards to the current Xbox Live Games With Gold promotion. Free stuff is good by us and you can currently pick up Terraria, Gears of War: Judgment, Pool Nation FX and Child of Light on Xbox One or Xbox 360 for absolutely nothing.

What’s not to like?

Catch you next week!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
