Another week down, another week closer to Christmas. The Xbox world has already started giving however with a ton of new reviews, news and opinions to get our teeth into. Which were the best articles to hit TheXboxHub between the 29th Nov – 5th Dec 2015? Let me tell you!
Starting with the news, there is one piece that we thought we’d never see. Rocket League is coming to Xbox One!
After a stunning debut earlier in the year on rival formats, the news that Rocket League will soon be arriving on Microsoft’s greatest console is something each and every Xbox One gamers should be keen to hear. Hitting PS4 and PC previously, the Xbox One version will bring the same superb gameplay, but will also include a number of new additions, most notably two Xbox One-exclusive Battle-Cars and all the previously released DLC.
February can’t come soon enough!
The Far Cry franchise is a bit of a stunning one and so Far cry Primal will no doubt be right at the top of many gamers hot lists. Throw in a couple of collector’s editions and a number of new revealing trailers and the hype for Primal has gone through the roof in the last few days.
Admittedly, we’d have loved to see some form of statue included in the announced editions, but steel books and official game soundtracks will just have to do in this instance.
Similarly, if you haven’t yet seen how Primal will play, then you won’t want to miss any of the videos which have dropped this week. Pretty stunning ain’t the word!
Continuing on the Ubisoft theme, we had a little look at the Assassin’s Creed series and asked ‘Has Assassin’s Creed had its day?’.
After a slow start with the very first game, the series burst into life with the next few offerings before dropping into a bit of a mid season lull. But Assassin’s Creed on Xbox One has pushed the series right back to the forefront of the gaming fraternities mind with AC Syndicate in particular coming out with favourable reviews.
But is that enough to save the series? We take a look!
If you’re an Xbox gamer and like to get behind the wheel of the latest hot hatch, family saloon or super expensive hypercar, then there are really only two options for you to take. You could go all serious and take the route loved by the Forza series, or you could let the crazy side of you break out and hoon it around with Need For Speed.
Both franchises have their own unique place in the gaming spectrum but there is always that slight nagging question…which is better?
Whilst that question alone could probably be answered completely differently depending on who you are, we thought we’d take a look anyways. What harm could it do!?
We don’t know if you’d noticed, but Christmas is coming!
What better time therefore to take a look at the top 10 video games that you must own before Christmas this year. With the likes of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Just Cause 3 and Halo 5 quite obviously right up there, some of the other spots in the top 10 list aren’t quite as obvious.
If you need something to add to your Christmas list, then you should be checking out our thoughts.
So that’s it for another week. Anything we missed out? Let us know in the comments below.
