Guess what will dominate this weeks ‘A Week In The Hub’? Yep, E3 2014 mostly!
And whilst we’d love to give some other stuff the headline act, it’s just not going to be possible.
But what were the best stories to come out of E3 2014? There were many and we’ve already covered our five show stealers in another article, so it’s probably for the best we look to something different.
So with that in mind, lets start with a bit of Halo. The Halo Master Chief Collection will be winging its way to Xbox One nearer the end of the year and with it will come Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4….all remastered, all hit with the HD brush and all with everything unlocked right from the very start. The Master Chief Collection will also include Halo: Nightfall, an all-new digital series executive produced by legendary director Ridley Scott. All those old Halo fans will be salivating at the prospect of the collection hitting the next gen but there should be more than enough hype surrounding it’s release to grab many a new fan as well.
Alongside Halo, Xbox One owners will also get to experience the blockbuster that is GTA V. Taking full advantage of the power of Xbox One, GTA V will be hit with graphical and technical improvements when it releases in the autumn. With increased draw distances, finer textures, denser traffic and overall enhanced resolutions, Los Santos and Blaine County will never have looked better, and the fact you’ll be able to bring other your Xbox 360 saves makes the whole deal an even juicier prospect.
Now that we’ve mentioned Halo and GTA, the next logical step would be to point you in the direction of another killer title. Call of Duty Advanced Warfighter got an E3 outing with it’s ‘Induction’ trailer and is bound to cause havoc when it drops in November.
Stepping away from E3 (ish) and we let our thoughts be known about the Forza Race Game of the Year Edition. Due out soon is the GOTY Edition of the worlds best racing game, but is it worth your cash? We took a look just about at the same time the Nurburgring DLC and subsequent Booster Pack was released.
We also took a look at WWE 2K15, talking about how the next wrestling title could become the ‘People’s’ game, started work on the WWE roster and told you all about the first load of characters that have been announced for the game. It’s looking like a killer title and one that wrestling fans will be feasting on.
Finally for this week, we brought you a review of the Xbox One version of Murdered: Soul Suspect and told you everything you’ll need to know about the upcoming Xbox One July System Update….achievement snapping and all!
Oh and one more thing. Our Watch Dogs competition has now ended and the winner has received his copy of the game. Thanks to all who entered via our YouTube channel and we’ll have another giveaway starting next week. Keep an eye out on our social feeds and site news early next week if you fancy one of the these….. 😉
