ACA NEOGEO Magical Drop III brings puzzle madness to Xbox One

-

Gaming has come a long way in the last 20 years, but the retro scene is massive and the chance to take in something from decades gone by never fails to excite. Can the latest addition to the NEOGEO ports that have been cropping up on Xbox One bring something magical?

Available right now for Xbox One owners to purchase, download and enjoy is ACA NEOGEO Magical Drop III – a puzzler that was first released by the team at Data East way back in 1997.

Following up on the success of the port of Magical Drop II back in June of last year, Magical Drop III promises to build on that game, delivering a much more rounded experience. You’ll find adjustments from the previous game, plus the chance to build on chain-making and the opportunity to head off on a Magical Journey.

As with all previous NEOGEO ports that have made their way to Xbox One, highscore leaderboards and game difficulty options are now also in place.

Should you fancy taking in a game that no doubt wowed the crowds back in 1997, then the Microsoft Store will give up a download of ACA NEOGEO Magical Drop III on Xbox One for £6.39.

Go grab it!

Game Description:

Magical Drop III is a puzzle game released in 1997 by Data East. With adjustments and additions to the system from Magical Drop II, this version is much more lively and chain-based than its predecessor. Along with the addition of the Magical Journey mode, there are now more ways to enjoy the action. The “ACA NEOGEO” series has faithfully reproduced many classic NEOGEO masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
