Ages of Mages: The last keeper randomly wanders to Xbox One

Randomly generated dungeons, powerful magic and skills trees are nothing new in the gaming world, but that’s not to stop the team at YFC Games from attempting to deliver a new experience to Xbox One gamers. And that is where Ages of Mages: The last keeper comes in.

Available for purchase and download right now, Ages of Mages: The last keeper quite obviously looks like many a game that has gone before it with more than a hint of Castle Crashers and Super Dungeon Bros about the visual style. It also comes with a pretty standard narrative – kingdoms, princesses, saving the day – some gameplay elements that have been seen the world over, and a combination of third person shooter mixing with RPG and Rogue-lite elements.

The price isn’t particularly keen either and whilst the £9.99 price tag isn’t going to break the bank, it’s not the cheapest game we’ve ever seen.

So why on Earth should you be checking out Ages of Mages: The last keeper on Xbox One? Well, the promise of cuteness, a variety of mages, magical wands and the inclusion of local co-op running alongside the standard single player option are all hugely enticing. Even though we may not be expecting anything massive or life changing from Ages of Mages, anyone looking for a good feel weekend game to take in with their mates or family, should really be interested.

If that is you then the Xbox Store will happily deliver up the goods for you to enjoy. Let us know if you’ll be giving it a shot – the comments section is down below.
