Fancy adding a touch of Caribbean adventure to your checkmates? Well, good news for Ripstone and Rockwater Games have just launched the Treasure Island game pack for Chess Infinity. And the best part? It’s absolutely FREE for all players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
What’s in the Treasure Chest?
This isn’t just a simple map pack; the free Treasure Island DLC brings a wealth of new content themed around pirates and tropical beauty:
- Sun-Soaked Caribbean Settings: Play chess across four stunning new locations. Imagine strategising on the deck of a pirate ship or contemplating your next move on the golden sands of a secluded beach.
- A Transforming Chess Set: Command pieces from an exquisitely hand-crafted set that visually transforms as you play – starting as humble carved wood and potentially upgrading to luxurious gold-leafed ivory.
- Expanded Tour Mode: The adventure continues with exciting new events added to the game’s Tour Mode. Test your skills against 5 brand-new opponents, each bringing their own cunning strategies to the board.
- Unlockable Customisation: By completing targets within the new Tour Mode events, you can unlock items to further customise your Chess Infinity experience.
How to Claim Your Booty (For FREE!)
Getting your hands on the Treasure Island game pack couldn’t be simpler. Just head to the Xbox Store page for Chess Infinity.
The only requirement? You must own the base game, Chess Infinity, on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. Once you have the main game, you can download the Treasure Island DLC completely free of charge.
Building on Infinity
This free addition expands upon the solid foundation laid when Chess Infinity first arrived. As we covered back in its December 2024 launch, the game aimed to be the “ultimate chess experience” on consoles and PC.
The regular addition of themed content like Treasure Island (even if other DLC packs have cost a couple of quid each) certainly helps it live up to that promise, offering fresh ways to enjoy the timeless game.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic free update. Download the Treasure Island game pack for Chess Infinity today and set sail for a whole new world of chess!
