Today we learnt of a new first person survival horror experience from SEGA and developed by Creative Assemble called Alien Isolation.
Scheduled for a late 2014 release on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, what can Alien Isolation offer that’s different from the recent incarnations that have been a bit of a letdown? Well it seems to be going back to the roots of the original 1979 film Alien and certainly watching the trailers I’ve picked up that feel.
You won’t be given an arsenal of weapons to run and gun your way to safety, quite the opposite in that it’ll be more emphasis on scavenging. The mission is to survive the threat of the creepy stalking Xenomorph by using whatever you can find and using improvisation. Take a look below at the announcement trailer and a short “making of” video that gives us an insight on the goal to make the Alien game that fans have always desired.
