Post Trauma and its tormented train conductor have arrived on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, but will you be getting on board for this horror experience?
Escape The Hellscape
After suffering an awful panic attack, train conductor Roman (voiced by Togo Igawa) awakens to a fresh kind of hell in survival horror Post Trauma. Stuck in a bizarre dimension, surrounded by terrifying architecture and grotesque abominations, you must try to help him escape the hellscape. Whether that’s by arming him with an array of weapons for defending against the nightmarish creatures, or seeking the least threatening route, is up to you.
Not only must you try to survive the deadly abominations, but you also have to work out an ongoing mystery that plays out across different settings which initially appear unrelated. Through the power of deduction, hints and vital tools can be found within the environments traversed, enabling you to progress further.
Additionally, unearthing clues and solving puzzles will help you to understand what’s going on, where Roman is, and how to get the heck out of there.
A Love Letter To Yesteryear
What you’ll notice about Post Trauma, the debut title from developers RED SOUL GAMES, is that it’s a real love letter paying homage to the classics of its genre, whilst incorporating modern technology for a unique blend. For example, there are fixed camera angles throughout, like the horrors of yesteryear, but Unreal Engine 5 is in use to create a truly unsettling landscape. Facing your fears has – probably – never looked so good.

A Bit Late For Halloween
If you think Post Trauma would be the scariest, and best, horror experience for your Halloween festivities, then be sure to visit the Xbox Store (£12.49). Alternatively, it’s also available via the PS Store and Steam, so you’re covered whichever one you choose.
It’s just a shame that this one got pushed back from its original Halloween slot by so many months…
