After many years of city building, there’s a chance you may have thought you were done with Cities: Skylines. But the recent addition of Cities: Skylines – Remastered breathed new life into town, with new-gen optimised versions of the game proving ever more popular and powerful. Today even more options arrive in town, as 12 more DLC packs continue to deliver what gamers what and need.

Should you have upgraded your Cities: Skylines experience with the Remastered version of the game, making the most of the power of Xbox Series X|S, building out your city creations with additional tiles, UI improvements and graphical enhancements, then you will probably have interest in the latest DLC packs to hit the game. And really, you should have done that, because as our full review of Cities: Skylines – Remastered on Xbox Series X|S states, this is a game that holds up even better than the original 2017 release, fully scaled and adapted for Xbox Series X|S. In fact “there’s never been a better time to hop into the mayor’s chair and give the Cities: Skylines experience a go.”

There are no less than 12 new downloadable content packs popping up for purchase today, with them able to cover a range of new ideas and features. The fact that each and every one of them is discounted through a Game Pass subscription – and remember, the base game is totally free through Game Pass too – it makes things even more exciting.

Present and correct right now, all thanks to the Paradox Interactive and Tantalus Media teams are the following DLC packs…

  • Plazas & Promenades – £12.49
  • Shoreline Radio – £3.29
  • Paradise Radio – £3.29
  • Content Creator Pack: Seaside Resort – £4.99
  • Content Creator Pack: Mid-Century Modern – £4.99
  • Content Creator Pack: Heart of Korea – £4.99
  • Content Creator Pack: Skyscrapers – £4.99
  • K-pop Station – £3.29
  • 80’s Downtown Beat – £3.29
  • Financial Districts – £6.69
  • Content Creator Pack: Map Pack 2 – £4.99
  • African Vibes

With much focus on the creator side of things, if you’ve got a Cities: Skylines – Remastered habit that needs feeding, we’d guess you’ll find yourself thrust towards a download and install of these new packs pretty much immediately.

Each and every one is found on the Xbox Store, with the base game store page your best bet. Drop into the comments section and let us know which of the packs you will be adding to your game. Expect all of the above to apply to PlayStation 5 versions of the game too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
