Amanda the Adventurer has built its reputation on something extremely unsettling – taking the familiar comfort of children’s television and twisting it into something deeply disturbing. But now, after an attic full of mysteries, a library packed with secrets, and countless uncomfortable encounters with Amanda herself, Amanda the Adventurer 3 has arrived on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, bringing Riley Park’s story to a close.
If the previous games are anything to go by, things are only going to get stranger from here.

The Final Chapter Begins
Amanda the Adventurer 3 picks up immediately after the events of the second game.
Having escaped both Aunt Kate’s attic and the dangers lurking within Kensdale Public Library, Riley Park now finds themselves heading towards the abandoned facilities owned by Hameln – the mysterious organisation at the centre of the series’ growing conspiracy.
This is where the trilogy’s biggest questions are finally set to be answered. Who – or what – is Amanda? What role has Hameln played in everything that’s happened so far? And just how deep does this nightmare really go?
For returning players, it’s the payoff that’s been building across two increasingly unsettling adventures.
A Return To What Made Amanda So Popular
Amanda the Adventurer 3 takes the strongest elements from both previous games and combines them into one final experience. That means more puzzles, more VHS tapes, more unsettling discoveries and, presumably, more moments where you’ll find yourself wondering whether continuing to press play is actually a good idea.
The original Amanda the Adventurer impressed us with its unusual concept and execution, earning a solid 3.5/5 review score.
At the time, we said: “You’ll be impressed by the concept and execution of Amanda the Adventurer. It’s dark, disturbing, funny, and entertaining.“
The sequel then expanded the formula significantly, taking the action beyond the confines of the attic and introducing a larger mystery for players to unravel. Amanda the Adventurer 2 went on to score 4/5 from us, with the expanded story proving a particular highlight.
As we noted in our review: “Amanda the Adventurer 2 successfully takes the core experience from the first game and progresses it further in meaningful ways.“
With Amanda the Adventurer 3 billed as the final chapter, fans will be hoping the series sticks the landing and delivers satisfying answers to the many questions that have been hanging over the story since Riley first discovered those mysterious tapes.
Time To Press Play One Last Time
Horror fans looking for something a little different have found plenty to enjoy in Amanda the Adventurer over the last few years. Its blend of childhood nostalgia, puzzle-solving and psychological horror has helped it carve out a unique place in the indie horror scene, and now the story is finally reaching its conclusion.
Amanda the Adventurer 3 is available right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (through the Xbox Store), PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for ÂŁ8.39.
The tapes are waiting. Whether you should watch them is another question entirely.
