Ancient mythology to run rampant across the Plains of Eidolon with Warframe’s incoming update

-

If you’ve spent time with Warframe recently you’ll have noticed the addition of the Ghoul Purge Bounties that have seen horrific monstrosities battling through the Plains of Eidolon. From next week though players will have another new threat to worry about – a threat that looks to take on the form of ancient mythology.

Available next week for free on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the Shrine of the Eidolon update is set to bring some big changes to the inner workings of Warframe. With changes to the Mastery Ranking of more than 150 weapons, re-balancing changes for several of the Warframes and two all new and enormous Eidolons there is certainly plenty to shout about. On top of this, players will be able to take to the skies with the all-new and rideable Dargyn in a bid to dominate the skies along with the rest of the battlefield.

The new changes are part of developer Digital Extremes plans to modernise the in-game systems for both new and long-time players.

With rumours from Cetus telling the tale of new and magnificent creatures towering above the Plains of Eidolon at night, the Gantulyst is becoming an all too real threat to the land. Coming in at twice the size of the original Teralyst that arrived alongside the Plains of Eidolon, the Gantulyst boasts an arm of rock allowing it to hurl gigantic balls of energy that rotate and deliver powerful beams of Sentient energy in all directions.

The Hydrolyst on the other hand is a toxic and deadly beast. What it lacks in size it sure makes up for in power, and with toxic storm clouds and poisonous Sentient energy seeping from its every action the Hydrolyst is a challenge unlike any other the Tenno have experienced before.

On top of the gargantuan Eidolons, players will also find a host of other new enemies to deal with, whilst the new rideable Dargyn will provide players with a safe passage across the skies. The Dargyn is idea for solo adventurers and is often used by Grineer patrols. It also provides the quickest way to travel long distances and can often take down unsuspecting opponents with its built-in weaponry. Should you find yourself roaming the lands as part of team, even those with minimal experience will find a group of Dargyn capable of dominating the skies at any time of the day or night, and with them proving a dangerous force when combined with the Archwing, there is plenty of mayhem set to rain down from above.

For those who log-in to Warframe within one week of the update, there are also free bits and bobs in the form of a three-day Affinity Booster, 3X Forma and a 1X Exilus Adaptor.

So, there we have it, everything you can expect to find when the Shrine of the Eidolon update arrives next week. Will you be getting involved in the upcoming content? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
