Now on Xbox – Angel Engine

Humanity’s future doesn’t look especially bright in Angel Engine, a new horror game that’s available today on Xbox Series X|S. Combining unsettling sci-fi with surgical simulation, Angle Engine asks one simple question: how far would you go if the survival of the human race depended on it?

Published by Black Lantern Collective and developed by HMS Studios, Angel Engine arrives on Xbox priced at ÂŁ6.69.

Surgery At The End Of The World

Angel Engine takes place in a distant future where civilisation has already paid a devastating price. Nuclear fire has scarred the planet, yet humanity continues to cling to survival through the mysterious Angel Engine Initiative.

Players take on the role of a scientist working deep within the project’s operating rooms, performing surgery on comatose test subjects as part of a desperate attempt to save what’s left of the human race.

It’s hardly a routine medical procedure, though. The world is steeped in mystery, and the people leading the initiative are far from traditional heroes.

A Dark New Chapter

Described as a horror surgery simulator, Angel Engine explores another corner of its dystopian universe, one centred around the imposing Second Tower of Babel and the desperate experiments taking place within its walls.

With its unsettling setting and focus on survival through scientific experimentation, the game appears to favour atmosphere and narrative over straightforward action, offering a darker take on sci-fi horror.

If you’re after something a little different from the usual horror release, Angel Engine offers an unsettling blend of science fiction and simulation wrapped in a grim post-apocalyptic setting. It’s available now on Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ6.69 from the Xbox Store.
