Pigeon Simulator
Pigeon Simulator – out now on Xbox and Game Pass

Are pigeons real? Are they part of a government conspiracy? Are they spying on us right now? The answer, it turns out, is yes. To all three.

But we don’t care, because Pigeon Simulator, a new, chaotic adventure, has launched on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Play Anywhere and Game Pass – as a day one drop on the subscription service. This isn’t just another wacky physics game; it’s a full-blown, co-op anomaly-hunting adventure.

The Prophecy is Fulfilled!

We’ve been tracking this one for a while. It was only last week that we wrote our Game Pass round-up, joking that “Chaos Incoming! Call of Duty… Pigeons Invade Game Pass This Week!“. We had no idea how right we were. The invasion is real, and you are its newest recruit.

Your Mission, Agent (Should You Choose to Accept It)

Forget everything you thought you knew about being a street rat. You are an esteemed member of the top-secret Paranormal Examination & Kontainment unit (P.E.K.). Your job? To locate, identify, neutralise, and extract the dangerous cryptids and anomalies that have begun to terrorise New Squawk City.

You’re not alone in this fight. The city is in chaos, and it’s up to you and up to three other feathered agents to keep this city safe, contain the cryptids, and keep your role within the government a secret. Most importantly, you must meet your quotas.

P.E.K. doesn’t tolerate slackers, so hit your targets, or it’s back to a life of eating trash and being chased by children.

A Beak into the Unknown

This is where things get truly wild. Pigeon Simulator blends the mundane with the supernatural, all wrapped in a deep upgrade system.

This isn’t your average bird. You are equipped with sophisticated pooping, cooing, and flying systems to navigate the city. But you’re also armed with specialised, government-issue anti-anomaly equipment. You’ll need to use your tools to track down these anomalies, defeat them, and extract them for research.

You can use your daily earnings from a hard day of anomaly-hunting to improve your abilities. A deep upgrade system will allow you to take your pigeon from a lowly street rat to a true Sky King, capable of taking on the most dangerous cryptids the city can throw at you.

Your Mission, on Any Perch

This launch is a massive win for Xbox and PC players. As a Day One Game Pass title, subscribers on both console and PC can jump in right now at no extra cost. Otherwise, you’re looking at a ÂŁ12.49 price tag.

Furthermore, Pigeon Simulator is a full Xbox Play Anywhere title. This fantastic feature means that a single digital purchase (or your Game Pass download) unlocks the game on both your Xbox Series X|S console and your Windows PC. All of your saves, upgrades, and co-op progress are synced via the cloud, so you can seamlessly switch platforms.

Your P.E.K. Dossier

Here’s what you can expect from your new government job:

  • A 1-4 Player Co-op Adventure: Hunt anomalies with your friends.
  • “Sophisticated pooping, cooing and flying systems.”
  • A Deep Upgrade System: Take your pigeon from a street rat to a sky king.
  • A Host of Paranormal Anomalies to defeat, capture, and extract.
  • Government-Issue Anti-Anomaly Equipment.
  • Available Day One on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
  • Full Xbox Play Anywhere Support.

The city is in chaos, the cryptids are loose, and your quota is due. If you’re a Game Pass member, there is absolutely no reason to miss this one. If you’re a fan of bizarre, cooperative action, Pigeon Simulator is ready for you on the Xbox Store right now.

Get to work, agent!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
